If not already mentioned elsewhere, I'm sure many would like to thank James for scouting East Thurrock's match at Great Wakering Rovers ready for Saturday's cup tie, as mentioned in last Saturday's programme.
Well done James and continued best wishes on your road to recovery.
We'll see if a future scouting career beckons after Saturday...
Yes, many thanks James. I hope it pays off on Saturday. It seems, from reports, that East Thurrock missed a bundle of chances in their defeat at Great Wakering. As for James having a future scouting career - I hope that is at least another 10 to 15 years hence. I hope you are making a good recovery James - it would be wonderful to see you back in a Wings shirt (with or without a sponsor) before the end of the season. Or is that hoping for too much?

I too would like to echo my thanks to Mr Lawson, I do believe that East Thurrock are playing tonight. As they are now second they may try that bit harder and hopefully that could go for us on Saturday. I notice that two players in particular are scoring for them, with a bit of luck they will be missing on Saturday.
surely going to watch games should be standard for long-term injured players. the club are still having to still pay their wages while they are "sitting on their arse" so why shouldnt they try and get something for their money.
Ouch! I'm sure James did some scouting with a good heart. And don't forget, for some injured players "sitting on their arse" is not an early option if they have been badly injured and in terrible pain as I am sure James was. I am sure James did not want to be out of the team for so long, and he has taken the trouble (with help from the PFA) to go to Lilleshall to try to recuperate. Methinks you are being a mite harsh but, obviously, if players are able to, it would be beneficial if they could do some scouting near to where they live.
I hope Mark X is right, and that we see James Lawson back in a Wings shirt early next year.

So we'll be playing 4-1-5 in the New Year then. We do seem to be picking up quite a few strikers - Whitnell, Stone, Gaisie, Hobbs, Clarke, Lawson and Faz if we need him.

Just seen the news about Clarke, I think this will benefit everyone the only disappointing thing for Fordy must be how long it has taken for Lee to get fit again. Hopefully he will be back and raring to go around xmas.

Just one problem with Lee Clarke going out on loan. Is Cambridge City still in the FA Cup and, if so, are we going to allow Lee to be cup-tied tomorrow?
