Pathetic, inept, disgraceful, useless are just a few of the words that were thrown at the officials today and they were all correct in their description.
First goal resulted immediately after a blatant handball was turned down. The second looked offside. Loads of bookings, 3 for kicking the ball away but most of the rest were a mystery.
Fordy was spoken to by the ref who said to him that he assumed he was the Welling manager. Shouldn't he know these things?
Aside from all that, it wasn't a very good performance with a few of the players just not at their best.

The ref made a costly decsion and he was ****ing **** and complete ****, but the from the point he made the bad decsision the ball had 90 yards to travel to the other end.
We were lucky to get nil.
We had 4 players tday who showed little ability to control the ball and do very very basic this right and must be released.
I was sitting right behind the BS dugout and they were laughing at us :O
The worst I've seen Welling play for some years. It could have been 4 or 5 nil by half time if it wasn't for some great saves by Mitten! That referee made things even worse. Maybe the next time we play at home, we should not have an oompa loompa in charge of the game. Someone that is actually tall enough to see what's going on would be great.
The linesman on my side of the pitch didn't seem to understand the offside rule and he appeared to think that when a BS player pushes and pulls one of our players, that it is perfectly acceptable.
I have to admit that i wasn't comfortable seeing some of our players have a real go at each other during the match. Asking why someone did something is one thing, giving each other looks of near hatred is another thing entirely. There are people in the Welling Squad that quite clearly don't like each other. Can't be good for team morale surely.
Oh and our number 10, needs to go right now. His lack of effort in the second half was extremely disappointing. If he's going to act like he couldn't give a toss, then why is he at the club.
Hopefully we can get this Sheringham tribunal thing out of the way soon and get a couple of decent players in, to replace the road cones masquerading as Welling players that we have now!
Oh one final note. I thought the banter coming from the Welling fans behind me was top rate :D I sensed that Trigger was in attendance :)

Bottom line is that we were outplayed by BS for most of the game- they just did a job on us. Too many stray passes, lack of movement up front and lack of support from midfield. Jack P can spray a decent long pass but that frequently left jake hobbs (when he could control it!) completely isolated. There is a worrying lack of pace throughout the side .
However on the plus side, heads didn't drop but they do need to produce more quality throughout the side to get this season going!
