Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment. Wow!! What a Game Im Going back never have I seen Anything Like It.
Those Were my thoughts on the first welling game I see. Fulham (My Other Team,I Will Get Stick But We Cant All Be Perfect!! ) Not Playing So Why Not Watch the Wings. So I went With Patsy (who would have thought she get so hooked that she's Now a season Ticket Holder N Scratch card Lady)

SAT 11 March 2006 v Maidenhead 3-3
End To End but the best bit was Kedwell Scores Gets Man Off the Match Then 20 man Punch up in the Goal And Kedwell gets sent off money well spent. !! At Half Time For A luke warm Burger, and behind us in the queue RAY LEWINGTON of Fulham. He Was there as Son played For Maidenhead.

Then On My Next Visit NEWPORT COUNTY SAT 8th April 1-1
I Dont know whatver happened to him But there Was A dead Ball And A Bloke Dressed As A Werewolf Ran Onto the Pitch And Kicked The Ball, it was the best pass of the day And Was Thrown out By The Little Steward number 52? (he still wears the same coat).

And from then we slowly got hooked

Hello... Im Ron Manager And Im A Wings-a-Holic !!!!

Either 77/78 or 78/79 - Alma Swanley (played centre midfield)  beat Welling 1-0 in the F A Vase : Welling had the likes of John Bartley, Kevin (sootty) Corbert and Ray Burgess playing : A RIGHT CUP UPSET

T'was the 3rd round in 1979/80 Vase competition Bally.  The furthest we ever got in our 5 year spell in that competition.

It's funny as I can't remember my first game, however it would have been about 1998 when I took my two oldest boys. I wanted to get them into liking football as I was and still am a Leeds United fan. A few weeks in, one of my sons was celebrating his fifth birthday and as such I contacted the club and asked for his name to be broadcasted out over the loud speakers. On the particular Saturday not only did they say happy birthday but my son was invited onto the pitch and was given a signed photo of the team and happy birthday was blasted out around the ground. My sons have since decided not to join me at PVR but there have been some funny moments, one being that when Spitey or Big Girl's Blouse brought a drink for the boys I would turn around to them and say "now what do you say"? and as primed they would reply "is that all"?

Bexley United vs Met Police in about 1975 and I remember being quite shocked as a 10 year old that the policemens goalie swore.

Gentler times indeed!

Stafford beats mine, i was 5 or 6 and had drawn on the wall and i remember my dad b0llocking me big time when he got in from work. I was sent to bed . half an hour later in he came with the paper and welling were at home . As he thought i was upset at being told off he took me there.

Would have been Welling's first season at PVR. See i paid for my sins!

1984 i think. Welling v Spurs FA Youth Cup. Townsend played that day.

First time i started going properly was 1985 when we played RS (Road Sea?) Southampton. Me and a few mates thought it stood for Southampton Reserves! What a year to start going though.

Can't remember first oppo but it was in Athenian League days in the late 70's. John "God" Bartley scored but that doesn't really narrow it down much as he scored every week anyway !!

I saw in him in Crook log pub one Friday prior to a home game in the early 80's. I bet him a pint he wouldn't score the following day. He scored a hattrick and next time I saw him in he told me I owed him three pints !!

1999-2000 season versus Telford in the last season of our conference days. No glory hunting for me!

Ritchie Hanlon was on loan to us at the time and scored a penalty, but for the love of me I can't remember the final score. My dad's travel agency sponsored the match and I got to present the MOM trophy which was pretty neat for a young lad. Been hooked ever since!
