With things at a crossroad, it may be good PR for the club to do a meet the manager and Owners night, also put flyers in every business in welling's door inviting them to attend FREE, it may get some sponsorship leads out of it or hospitality.

Andy is very head strong and at the moment is just as likely to say see ya as to put the players on a 6 game unbeaten run. If he does he wont work in football again if he quits, but he seems to have the hump about something.

JGFC the 'Meet the Manager Night' was discussed at the last WSU meeting I went to a couple of months ago. The long and short of it is that last years MTM night was very poorly attended. I reckon the main reason for this was that it was midweek (a Wednesday I think) as Fordy did n't want to do it on a Friday (probably the best night for it I think). The other option discussed was to have a forum after a game at PVR.

So what do other Wings fans think? Would you attend a MTM night and what would be the ideal night for it? There is a WSU meeting this thursday and the night will be discussed then.

There needs to be one, most clubs have them, although not in favour of the after game forum, too many clouded views after a game has only just ended.

Two different meetings - JgFc is suggesting a new departure where the club try to gain sponsorship, match sponsorship etc by organising a meet Welling United meeting targetted at local businesses. Sounds like a good idea to me.

A post match Meet the Manager event for supporters was certainly on the cards possibly in mid November when I last heard. I understand the point that post match emotions can run high but this has to be measured against the poor attendance at the last Meet the Manager event and Fordy's availability.

We need a manager first lol.

Bruno is correct like a Welling Open evening / Fans Forum and chance to show local business some hospitality and try and get a few on board for sponsorship and advertising etc etc.

How about getting Morrisons to sponsor the club. They open their store in the highstreet this month or next and will want to establish themselves in the community as the number one supermarket, before that big Tesco's opens across the road.

Morrisons have said no I believe - concentrating on their own charity work.

I can't believe that a company as big as Morrison's can't afford to stump up £30,000 for advertising with a local company.

I for one won't be using Morrison's then. I don't like them anyway apart from their bread. It'll be a nightmare trying to park there as well. It was bad enough when it was the Co-op. Anyone with any sense who wants to shop at Morrison's will go to Erith.

Don't like Tesco either and I doubt if they'll have enough parking so nothing to attract me to Welling shopping.

Sell the stadium name to them or tescos.

and add 20k on to the sponsorship, play them off against each other.

If they dont want to then go for Sainsburys at Crayford, that will really p1ss them off.

The Sainsburys stadium all over the ground, local press, radio, online media when refering to Welling.

Then don't go the Paul Merson route - £150k in the bank and bet £120k on a 'sure fire winner'.  It lost..............
