Better hope the FA dont see the video, he pushed the ref after they never got a penalty, Then after half of his team had gone to the ref to have a go after the final whilstle he walks past the ref, gives him a mouthful and gets a second yellow and a red.

How was he not sent off for pushing. What a vile little man, i might just send clips of both to the FA. I hope he gets a 6 month ban.

It was a nailed on penalty though, Tom.  We played some nice football today but no end product.  We deserved our luck today - just a little payback from the Chelmsford game.

Bertie

how many nailed on penalties have we had? And when that Chelmsford ref was against us, You never saw our players pushing the officials! or swearing at them.

Their number 6 was out of order and IF the FA do see it, he will get an extended ban. It didnt look stonewall in the video but look one that you have seen given.

his actions are inexcusable.

Yeah, i saw the push as well, and thought i was seeing things. I was certain he would get sent off for that.

Having watched James's excellent video, it looks like it was the No. 3 that got the second yellow and subsequent red.

The No. 6 was unbelievably lucky not to get a straight red for the push. De Canio got an 11 match ban for pushing Al**** in 1998.

Watching the video looks like Proths won the ball with a good tackle, and they were awarded a penalty. Ref was shy to book any of their players in the first half - surely their keeper should have received a yellow for the assult resulting in our pen, and a number of their players were persistently fouling, kicking the ball away etc.

Overall with everything weighed up I think we deserved the points - and as others have said a bit of luck, grit and determination is how we start our climb up the table.

I was too far away to see the penalty incident at the game but when I watched the video highlights waiting to see a "nailed on penalty" but my instant reaction was it was a dive - or at best a slump to the ground and this is how the ref saw it.

I agree in another game it could have been given but I think the ref got it right this time.

Anyway it does not excuse the behaviour of the Lewis players.

Good news is three points.
