There was a lot of commotion on the Dartford messsage board earlier about some form of compensation.  The question is, will Daisy still want to play for them if nothing can be agreed?

Does strike me as general incompetence all round though really.

He never signed a contract at Dartford did he?

And he had an agreement with the Manager he could leave. I think thats why he went there. If Dartford are being ****s. He will play out the season and leave. BUT will Handford come and manage for 6 months while that happens?

Dartford fans claim he has signed a two-year deal - so I guess he has no other option but to honour his contract if the two clubs cannot reach a settlement.  Either that or we will just have to merge with Dartford and play at Princes Park (joking - but it is a slightly shorter journey for me and there always seems to be beer on the pump there).

We will certainly find out now if Daisy was picked because he was cheap. If we pay a transfer fee for him it would appear we have more money than was previously thought.

Did the Hobbins ask Daisy if he was under contract and if so ask Dartford for permission to sign him. It looks like a bit of a fiasco to me.

This is a circus how can you not get a 100% off the club you are taking the new guy from .... not good enough appointing someone and then this happens .... Liked Daisy as a player and seemed a top guy but not sure this is going to work ... and people thinking he could if this still goes through get players from Dartford COME ON ARE YOU SERIOUS!

This was the cheapest offer ... as we getting a good player also .... which i thought would never work player/manager is a no go for me ... may as well get a level three coach in like jack Parkinson or Tommy from rugrats he must nearly be 30 now .... and please get real Kimble number 2 or Hayes these guys will fill gutted they have been beating to the top job by a nobody on the manager circuit ... think they may take up crouqet!!

Dizzie

He wont get contracted players from Dartford but he will get those out of contract or those who are out of contract at the end of the season who are over 24.

Great post Dizzie.   When I said some time ago about having Mooro as our Manager, others on here stated, as did the club, that they wanted an experienced guy from our league or above.  Now this has proved to be wrong - it's a cheap get out by the club.
I am 100% behind Jamie and want him to stay as long as possible to help secure our future in our league and upwards.

If all the Dartford problems are sorted and Daisie joins us, the only possible No. 2 would be Phil Handford - that is if he has the time between house building and his other business.  Other people, such as Martin Hayes etc might find it a kick in the teeth to be No.2 to someone inexperienced.
Good luck Daisie, you'll need it mate.

Its only a cheap get out if someone like Kimble or Dack arent appointed as number 2.

If we get a journeyman ex pro or current player or inexperienced number 2 or mate of Daisys, it could get a bit heated.

Hand shakes and verbal agreements are only legally binding if witnessed by a third independent party. If Jaimie thinks he can leave because of a chat he was supposed to have had, and didn't get it in writing, then he's naive.

And do we think that he told Welling that he had an agreement and that we took it at face value. The original statement seemed to suggest that Darford had agreed it all but now the noise comng out of there appears to be that they knew nothing.

Very strange and very embarrassing. If it is some-one else now they, and the rest of us, will always know that they were second choice,

Doesnt work like that Dizzie, we have had players that play for us that wont sign a contract because they want to be free agents should a team come in for them.

I should add of course some are just fringe players that the club do not want to be tied to. We use this all the time on stop gaps or squad players.
