Not me.... These clowns

I mean when did we last play this pub team called Dartford, Jesus christ they get a council that gives it to them on a plate, have a season of success so far and they are giving it how big they are.

People like Mike Brett Smith and the people who campaigned to get them back to Dartford. and in some decent form of football must be hugely proud, of the BBB now displayed by these fans that appeared from nowhere.

I know we used to hate Dartford nearly 30 years ago when the sides were similar, but in those years where we played 14 years in the conference and how many in this level, those lucky heather sellers down the road have been playing Pub Leagues.

Theres a few on there being lairy and theyve won Sweet FA yet. Most of our fans probably have never even heard of them, thats how BIG and SUCCESSFUL Dartford are.

LOL

I've heard of them Tom.

Forget these plastic rivalries with the likes of Dover and Woking, Welling v Dartford is a big game in my eyes and always will be. They might be all BBB and think they have outgrown us with their new shiny stadium but long standing Welling fans like me remember some real local derbies against the D****

Part of me wasn't too upset when they were struggling. However a much bigger part of me applauds the fact that they have recovered and got the support of their council and local community.

Two holiday fixtures against them (provided we stay up!) will be good for local football and good for revenue.

Bring it on !!!!!!!!!

Of course youve heard of them i remember the games and i was only young (you might be an old boy now :P) I used to walk to Watling Street from the station when i was in short trousers. What a walk that was.

I meant the teenagers now and people in their 20s. They will think who are these muppets Dartford weve never played because they havent been good enough.

You are correct if they come up 2 big gates and the players will have 2 massive games lets hope we see some scenes like the old days when we scored against them.

We are welling NOT Jim Thompson, and weve been playing higher level for decades.

Dartford should be renamed forever more by us....

Theyve got a football team? When did they get one of them, do their results come up on the vidiprinter and stuff or do you have to wait till the Sunday papers?

The problem is now

If Dartford want a fee for Day then the cheaper appointment may actually go to the expensive appointment

If a fee is involved will The Hobbins pay it?

"Most of our fans probably have never even heard of them"

Sorry that most of your fans couldn't be bothered to travel to Dartford when you played at our place for a home game the other year... or for the friendly...

Was that the home game that me and my mate went to, that got CANCELLED, and we had no way of finding that out until we arrived there?

Ah yes, that'll be the one...

As with all things in Kent, the money will fall out sooner of later. Look at that great athletic track you've got down there...(and before you start harping on, people from Dartford AC themselves moan about it).

Don't quite know why you're referring to a running track which is in Dartford Park, and has nothing to do with the football stadium?

I, personally, wish Jamie good luck when he ends up with you (it'll happen - not really in doubt in my opinion) and as someone who has no bad feelings about Welling United, find it a bit odd about all this slagging off of our club...

Dart Vader
i wound'nt worry to much about whats said on here by some people...This is starting to drag on know. What we need is a statement from both clubs & Jamie.
To say whats going on, What was in Jamie contact Ref moving on etc.
& if the deal is on or not ?...
As for any fee, it may remind the Welling board, that we are still waiting for the F.A to sort out the Sheringham fee .....

It was a reference to how sporting venues in Kent (not just Dartford) get 'left behind'. Don't get me wrong, what's happen at Dartford is good, just I don't know how much backing is from the council and/or private.

What name and dob said is right. I'll hold my hands up, thought you were having a wee dig and I was quite disappointed when that game (can't even remember who we were playing now) got cancelled as I wanted to see the game and the stadium.

Anyway, moving on...

Dart Vader obviously doesnt read the Dartford forum.

Nothing was said on here until accusations of cheats, underhandedness and why would he go to a team getting relegated were on there by several posters.

Surely everyone can see Daisy thought he had an agreement to go, Something has happened where that is not being allowed to happen.

It could be Jamie being naive, it could be Dartford going back on their word.

Agree with whats been said. If Dartford want a grand or two it may be best going for an experienced manager. If we are having to pay for someone then go with proven ability.

I wouldn't worry about what anyone says. It's no worse than some of the stuff you say about other clubs. You only hear bad stuff said about us if you go looking for it on the interweb.

Ignore them and let what happens regarding Jamie play out.

I would be very disappointed IF any of our 1st team squad fancied trading us for welling as the only attraction would be some extra [ short term ] wedge but for how long , at the darts they [ providing they perform ] have a bright future and will get paid every week !!!!!!!!1

any that follow jamie day to welling will only be after the quick buck and no good to us long term but I will be very suprised if any go

UP THE DARTS

Well Duke, It would be a GROSS underestimation if you think no Darts will be at PVR within days. Its a NOBLE way of thinking and be my GUEST for feeling this way.

Are Dartford fans totally unaware of the fact we play at a higher level than them? They seem to think that the only reason someone would want to move to Welling from Dartford is money. Oh i don't know, maybe the opportunity to play in a higher division might have something to do with it.

Lets be serious here Dartford are obviously in their right to ask for compensation, and we would do exactly the same in this situation.

Regards players moving from the Darts to us, can you really see this happening I would imagine that most are on contract and would require a transfer fee which I dont think we would be able to afford, Also yes we play higher league than them but who is to say next season they will play higher league than us, they for sure will come up next season and i am sorry to say the appointment of Day does not inspire with confidence that he will be able to turn it around quickly thats why I feel we needed a manager with experience of the league we are in now,

Also i am sure Dartford can either match or pay higher wages than us, so money possibly not a option for players to move

Hope I am wrong

Which one of the 51 applicants were you?

He has been appointed, some felt we should have appointed a more experienced Manager, 99% of Welling fans respect Jamie for his service and the way he carried himself. They also are aware he is well qualified and they will be fully behind him.

If you are a Welling fan Wings63 .... Then i am Ray Aboagye.

I find this post ASTOUNDING from Wings63 from the 18th October. Someone told me that Jamie was headunted (No it wasnt him, as not bumped into him for months),

Wings 63 Posting shortly after Fordy went..... is revealing. Yet he is critical of the appointment and suggests Jamie Will take us Down.

QUITE BIZARRE......

I heard yesterday that Jamie Day is in line for a return to us, possibly as a player manager, looked on Dartfords forum and there seems a bit of concern he did not play yesterday

I wonder if Bruno can see if the Person who posted 20 more times that Jamie Day is coming back over the last few months could be the same poster.

And so, who is he and why then criticise him when gets the job?

BIZARRE and was it 51 applicants but only ever 1 in with a chance and is this why it was never advertised?

What do you find astounding about it, it just means what I was told was true will not say who it was but I am more in the know than you think JGFC

What are you trying to say here I am not sure,

Also I feel I di not criticise him, just I am not sure if a inexperience manager can turn it around as quick as what we need, also I said I hoped that I was wrong, if you look back at your post JGFC on the new manager post you also are not sure about Jamie being a manager.

Im not in the know...

Yep my colours nailed firmly to the wall

Could have, should have got more experienced Manager. Like others though will be behind Daisy 100% and the guy is well respected from the past and a qualified coach.

I am in the same bracket as many with those views. I have never posted we will get relegated or he isnt good enough. Some people stir for their own agendas on forums. I say things how i see them. Amazing someone knew for months Jamie was on his wayback while other "people" screamed ****e we and Fordy were.

Sorry for the lack of formatting, posting this from mobile internet :) .
