I wonder who he has in mind. Feel sorry for Proths - he must have felt only a few months ago that he had a start in the coaching/managing career but with Ford walking out, it has left him out in the cold.

Lee Protheroe did an excellent job in keeping the playing side of the Club together during the period after which Mr. Ford resigned so abruptly after the Dover defeat.

Lee. I am sure that all true supporters will join me in thanking you for all your hard work and dedication in a very difficult and worrying time for the Club.

It is hoped that Jamie Day will be able to retain you in a playing capacity because we need your experience both on the field and within the Club.

A shame for Lee, he did a fantastic job in steadying us when Fordy left. I was surprised tbh. But I don't see where this leaves him now, surely we can't keep him as a player only because he is easily past his best.

Might be passed his best but that doesn't mean he isn't good enough for Welling! Has easily performed as well as Sambrook.
