This is not good enough. As Barrie pointed out, would Manchester United have waited this long for a settlement? Surely the FA must have a time limit within its rules for a tribunal hearing to be scheduled? Was this in October?
I would suggest that as well as the compensation for Charlie Sheringham, the club insists on a weighted award to take account of the number of months he has been at Stortford without a fee being agreed. And I think this amount, on top of whatever the Tribunal awards, should be paid (by the FA?) as additional compensation.

Points docked and relegated if they dont have the cash. Also, IF he gets injured or goes elsewhere then they need to do the tribunal as if he is 100% fit and a stortford player.

Without his goals they'd be on the verge of the relegation zone anyhow.

That's all very well punishin BS, but where does that leave us? The FA have dragged their heals over this for far too long. If we end up with no money out of this then in my opinion it's down to them to pay us compensation. Perhaps they'll think twice about delaying things in future.
Following my emails to the FA, and the apparent progress of sorts, and Barrie comments recently, at least the end is in sight ... or should that be the start in fact !!
However, I would suggest in future that the FA give serious consideration to the tribunal system, and prioritise non-league clubs first, and then do the generally wealthier league and Premiership clubs afterwards. It is much more likely that the money from Sheringham due to Welling will have a negative impact to the club if delayed in arriving, than the 300,000 between the move of Edman recently from Burnley to Newcastle (I believe) as an example. Both are due their monies, but the impact to non-league clubs is greater in my opinion...
Imagine the Kedwell tribunal had dragged on to January ... imagine he banged in 16 league goals like he has and someone came in for him at 100k, and we are due 33% of that ... wouldnt 33k suddenly appearing in our coffers dramatically increase the chance of promotion compared with its non arrival until the season was all but over ??

The FA are a big enough outfit to have a dedicated Non League arbitration team. Months is just unnacceptable.
As it stands we can hardly sue the FA, so if Pound Note gets injured or moves we could end up worse off entirely due to the FA dragging their heels.
I have read that Charlie's performance will have nothing to do with the fee we get. This is just completely wrong, facts are without his goals they would be worse off and had we had him we would be better off.
I hope the FA use some common sense in this and the fee reflects the situation.
