poor result on the day .... but from the write-up was something of a battle first half which could have produced a better result. win some, lose some. welling is second in the form guide over the last six games, so all is not doom and gloom IMO

Those that chose to go to Craven Cottage and Selhurst Park made the right call today.

Piggy must have wondered why he made the week long effort to make sure the game was played after that 2nd half performance.

Might i add that today's referee was a particularly ineffectual little man with little man syndrome. He obviously thought we had all paid to see him and not the teams. There were several bad challenges by both teams that went unpunished. Other more minor things happened that are supposed to be met with a yellow card eg. a Bromley player kicking the ball about 40 yards when it was our throw in.

The first half was actually very good and i felt we were good for a win, then we gave away two silly goals and just gave up. Either Welling lacked enthusiasm or they had overdone things on Christmas Day which i suspect is the case.

The Meet the Manager thing in January is going to be very interesting :) Think i might turn up for that.

It wasn't a battle first half. We totally dominated but couldn't put the ball in the net.

The only thing we lacked was a striker. It's all very well buying defenders and midfielders. Wat we need is someone to put the ball in the net. Pugh and Whitnell are both good players but it's no good playing them together because they're too similar. We need a big bloke.

i was pleased with the team selection, even though i am not convinced about fazza starting on the left of midfield, that said MR FAZACKERLEY WAS MY MOTM YESTERDAY.
ALAN S is spot on we need a big strong striker for whitnell or hobbs to play off now MR DAY as said lawson is out for season in yesterday,s programme notes.
WE were the better taem up until the first goal PARKINSON FROZE his reaction showed he knew it ,the second DEAN made one shocking pass got the ball back another **** pass allowed bromley to move the ball out to left DEAN OUT OF POSTION ball crossed in mcbean free header, ANDREWS PARKINSON whichever were totally caught out.
ONCE the second goal we were never in the game.
WE GO TO ST ALBANS ON MONDAY WHO HAVE FOUND FORM NEEDING A WIN.
caressing my onions there cold thats shallot

I thought Dean was having a good game up until he made the mistake leading to the second goal. His head seemed to drop after that, something that's happened too many times before.

ALAN S agree dean was having good game, and yes his form is erratic but still best option at left back,
I have stated before, and will say again this squad is lightweight in to many areas.
Only half a season gone and by end of january we could be playing for mid table postion only totally unacceptable in my opinion.
PLAYING WITH MY ONIONS THATS SHALLOT

Playing for mid table after Fordys mess is totally acceptable. This is a learning curve for Daisy and hes made some balls ups already with comings and goings.

Lets hope hes tapping up quality players already for next year and signing players that we have for next year already so they dont becoming free agents and we arent poncing about in pre season trying to get half a squad.

I wonder if Adam Gross is on his way to PVR?

Why would he be on his way back?

Just have a feeling ;)

Footballers are a funny lot, like i said before the facebook generation has arrived and the comings and goings have changed.

He was only at PVR for 2 minutes on loan.

surley he is on more money at Dartford why would he come to us

Yes a friend of Jamie Day but I cannot see him leaving Dartford to come here and from what I have been told there is a deal that Daisy cannot go for any Dartford players this season part of the deal that took daisy to welling

jgfc even though i think this squad is lightweight,mr day,s aim should be the play offs
we have ground out some good results, not that its been easy or pretty and MR DAY must get them to believe ,and be consistent which seems to be the problems.
The budget does not help also some players are paid a lot more then others,at this level.

i think the play offs are possible because there a quite a few teams around that are mediocre. Apart fron Newport & Chelmsford not seen many good teams in this league.
