Why some people fall out of love with Football!

Morning all...just posting the recent thoughts ( rant) of a disgruntled QPR fan.
He posted this on a football forum after recent events at Loftus Road....night make some of you smile and some may even agree with some of his views?!
All the best from Joe -

"I take more pleasure in seeing Chelsea lose than I do in seeing QPR win at the moment.

I sat through so many matches when we were absolute dog**** under the likes of Ray Harford
and with people like Paul Bruce, Matthew Brazier and Mark Perry in the squad and I never
felt like this.

The club isn't ours anymore but moreso than that - football is just properly gash these days.

I mean really gash.

football generally.

I hate nearly everything about it these days....

I hate the Prem and the myth that it is exciting this year. Man City breaking into the top four
isn't exciting. They spent loads of money. It's no more exciting that Nameless **** getting
to number 1 in the charts after winning the X-Factor.

I hate the myth of Arsene's kids. Buying some French kid when he's 17, playing him in the
League Cup and then selling him when he's 20 after about 3 appearances in the league
is NOTHING SPECIAL.

I hate hearing about Liverpool/Man Utd's debt but nothing ever happening about it. A club
needs to go to the wall for the money thing to change but it doesn't happen. Why the ****
are Charlton, Leeds and Southampton still in business?

I hate Frank Lampard's stupid ****ing face. I hate that Joe Cole's tongue is never in his
mouth, the downsy spacker. I hate John Terry being England captain when he's CLEARLY AN OAF.

I hate young exciting wingers who have nothing but pace. Tony Scully had nothing but pace.

I hate Harry ****ing Redknapp. And Jamie Redknapp. And Louise Redknapp.. And the Wii.

I hate Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.

I hate Garth Crooks.

I hate Garth Brooks a lot for that matter.

I hate Sky Sports.

I hate that when a lower league player beats 10 players and chips the keeper it doesn't
matter but if Rooney scores from more than 20 yards it's amazing.

I hate that female sports journos are now mandatory.

I hate Mark Lawrenson for not coming out. 'I do like a big man at the back'. I bet you do.

I hate any advert that portrays football to be about anything other than pain and disappointment.

I hate Lee Hughes and the fact that he makes a living from the game. I hate Marlon King
and any team that signs him when he gets out. I hate that it'll probably be us.

I hate Phil Brown.

I hate 'well the ball is a lot lighter now and will cause goalkeepers real problems this
summer' before EVERY ****ING TOURNAMENT!

I hate that Kieron Dyer earned more in the time I took to write this post than I'll earn this month.

I hate Adrian Durham, Ian Wright and Alan Brazil.

I hate Gazza. Either die or shut up. Stop ****ing lingering.

I hate hearing about Hillsborough more than I hear about Heysel or Bradford.

I hate Leeds .

I hate Roy Keane.

I hate grown men wearing football shirts of their team whilst shopping on a saturday
when their team is playing at home.

I hate that I don't hate Roy Hodgson.

I hate Jermaine Beckford and any player who has neck tattoos.

I hate songs being inappropriately taken as club anthems and then sung in a manly way.
'I'm forever blowing bubbles....'. Gaylords.

I hate Danny Dyer and anyone he's ever interviewed.

I hate the book 'Cass' by Cass Pennant. It is honestly the stupidest thing I've ever read.
Chapter 1: Millwall. 'Yeah we took 50 to Millwall. They had 1000 in their mob but we ran 'em up
and down the street'. Chapter 2: Liverpool . 'Yeah we took 50 to Liverpool . They had 2000 in
their mob but we ran 'em up and down the street'. **** me... Jade Goody's autobiography is
probably better. Even her non-ghost written one.

I hate that all good youngsters end their careers at Spurs before they start."

Did not mean to offend a Blues fan Chelwing...or West Ham fans for that matter!

But my favourite remains the bloke who walks around the shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon in his team's shirt ....while they a playing at home nearby!

Fantastic Post and It got me Thinking..........

I Hate the rule when youre out of the champions league but qualify for the europa,

Internationals in the first week of the season

Players saying they're too tired and need a rest.

The Player that wont sign an Autograph (yeah You Andy Johnson),
they wont take a second to acknowledge the supporters, as now they are Totally above us and we are just Insignificant to them.

the Player who forgets His Roots and couldnt care bout the team which kick started his career

Agents starting rumours and then your best player wants to leave to play reserve team footy for a bigger team. The list for this is a large one!!

Armchair fans who never go to their ground, Dont know who they playing,
and the bloke who comes out of the woodwork when you lose.

Kids that only Support teams with cash

Waiting at the match for skys adverts to finish so the game can kick off

No Alcohol at european games only to be sponsered by Heineken, etc,
and the prawn sandwich brigade have got champaigne on Tap.

The Corperate People who take the fans seats. The Wembley Half time Hide And Seek People.

the little club no support all season go to wembley with 20,000+
and the fans wonder why they going out of business.

Over The top Ticket Prices that never reflect the standard of Football.
Some Premier matches should only charge Division 1 prices and fill the ground.

Burgers that aren't warm enough to melt the cheese,

The Club never has your size in the clothing you want its all medium/large.
I Like a Pie And A Pint (which they are happy to sell) therefore I will want an XXL.!!

Footy on Saturdays at 3.00pm are a rarity thanks to TV.

England Being Hyped up as if they are The Greatest team In the Cosmos.

Fans of the Top 4 thinking they have some god given right to win. becoming Bad losers dispite the other team playing better.

Injuries As an excuse for defeat when still 8 players we of international standard (man Utd come to mind)

fans of higher teams Slagging off lower league n grass roots footy, grounds, players, etc

Diving, Cheating, Feigning Injury, Time wasting, not using technology,

The Slow walking Substitute in the last minutes. taking more time than there is in added time to get off.

new kits every season just because of an added colour (spurs with the yellow bit)

Thierry"smug" Henry,
Didier"shot by the snipper in the stands"Drogba,
Steven"incomprehensible" Gerrrrrrarrrrrd,
Emile "all fall down"Heskey,
David"15 min=15 england caps"Beckham
Sam"Chewing Gum Champion"Alladyce

and lastly

May The Best Team win is complete and utter Rolloxs
it should read May The Best POUND win !!

oh By The Way i will be at the game tomorrow though as its saturday and the wings are playing and a bit of football reality is needed.........COME ON YOU WINGS
biggrin

Probably the best post I have ever read on any forum! Though your average SKy Sports subscribing "Big 4" fan (God I hate saying Big 4!) will either not get any of it or just deny it.

And can I add another one?............

When a 'big' team lose to a lesser team, I HATE how the media focus on what the bigger team did wrong raher than how well the smaller team played.
Just watch what happens next time, the back page wont have a picture of a jubilant goalscoring victor, but one with the manager or player from the 'big' team looking gutted.
Typical "big 4" obsession!

Mini rant over!!

I hate it when the world cup starts and all they can talk about is how the official new ball swerves differently.

My dear Spitey, I'm sure the comments are not meant to be-little the awful events that happened at Hillsborough. People sometimes read a posting and reply without analysing what has been written down and how it may affect other readers.
Seeing that I'm not driving today, I sence a disaster coming for you this afternoon as you can buy me a pint.

Hillsborough was awful for a then youngster. We were away at Kidderminster i think. Walked in the Directors lounge there and saw that unfolding.

No tragedy like that should be part of ridicule. People died supporting their team and it could have been us.

I agree about Hillsborough etc etc

BUT

I my opinion (ducking for cover) it should be left to rest now

I dont think that there should be an anniversary of 20 years /25 years/ 30 years 31 years etc etc played out across televisio and papers etc...those involved of course should and will remember

There have been many disasters that befallen many people but nearly all of those are put to bed

They will never let it rest and rightly so until they have had justice.

Let's hope it never happens to the Arsenal eh.

I have just read the above threads - don't get me wrong - Hillsborough was terrible. What I dislike is that Bradford hardly gets a mention. The press love for the poor scoucers means the Yorkshire people that lost their lives barely get a mention. I also feel terribly sorry for the poor Italians that lost their lives at Heysel due to the actions of Liverpool fans.
