Of course that should be deadline (daedline being the Latin version!) Too much celebrating last night. When the Stortford result came up on the telly in the pub there were whoops of delight and much beer was bought and consumed; not just by me but by Thanet locals who have been indoctrinated over the years into following the mighty Wings .

I think the transfer window for clubs in the Nat Conf and above closes at 5pm tomorrow. They must be obliged to pay us the due fee before Charlie can transfer to another club. And if he goes for more than £6,500 presumably we get 25 per cent of that.

If you really think they have intentions to pay what they owe they would have done so by now....this will end with a court action and will cost the club more to pursue it! Have to agree with JGFC - simple action to wind up Stortford and that will force them to pay - and JGFC knows all about ''winding up'' - so we whould leave that in his hands!
I don't know if you can wind a club up over the non-payment of what in effect amounts to a sporting sanction. Not quite as simple as if they had bought him from us and the fee was in a binding contract. I suspect the further sporting sanctions route is more likely, though at glacial speed....
