Bu***r having to follow Robbie Williams who had the Hyde Park crowd eating out of his hand. Respect to Peter Kaye who proved himself more than capable of the job, keeping the crowd on the boil as they waited for The Who.
Pink Floyd are onstage as I type and playing a great set.
Haven't seen to much of the gig but did see Madonna who was on top form. Sadly missed Annie Lennox, did anyone see her and if you did what was her performance like?

Annie Lennox was amazing, incredible performance possibly the best performer for me. I cant understand why Macartney finished, If George Michael (Ran on for an impromptu one song with Macartney) was there he would have ended it on a high if allowed to blast out 3 or 4 of his uptempo classics, or let Robbie do it. Flat ending for an amazing gig on the whole. Pink Floyd were fantastic and the Who but i think Annie beat them all.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I can't get anywhere on the site - probably just as well as I'm one of those tortoises on 56k modem connection, do however have the dear old beeb on and they are showing Philly. Nothing of interest to me there so far.
Agree that Robbie Williams would have made a better job of closing the show - not one of my favourites but he sure as hell is a master showman. Thought when Macca said about rock 'n' roll that he meant the real thing and not that Helter Skelter thing.
Have to confess that the current music scene by and large is of little interest to me but I've been told I missed a great set from Joss Stone who I do like.
I'll have to look out for a highlights programme or wait for the inevitable DVD.
