A refreshing change to see a young player who acknowledges that he is not the finished article and gives credit to those contributing to his development.
Obviously if Jack gets an offer from a pro club and can keep his coaching work going or the offer is good enough to put his coaching on hold while he tries to make it in the pro game he will have a hard decision to make.

Yes, he sounds a smashing lad. Am I right in thinking that he is one of the youngest qualified football coaches with a full coaching badge? I wonder whether he could help out with our academy/youth/ football in the community schemes?

I thought I'd seen Jack down the Cherries training ground!!
With their transfer embargo not looking like it will be lifted for a while, nothing will happen any time soon.
But if Jack was to go there he would get plenty of playing time. Their squad is tiny and barely have 1 fit player in each position let alone 2, so he would get a fair crack of the whip.
Plus if you look at their squad theres a good few players that Eddie Howe has plucked from Non-League who have developed there. Mark Molesley, Liam Feeney and Anton Robinson were all playing in the Conference National and are now first team regulars in a promotion pushing side.
Is he on a contract? Cos they will never pay money for a player in their current state!
Yes he is on a contract, so I guess that rules Bournemouth out and any other club that cannot come up with a reasonable fee. Even if the contract is not renewed, the Wings will still be entitled to dosh because he is under 24 years old.

I think the deal is that we would have to offer terms on 'at least' what he is on this year.....that suffices to get some pennies even if it is NOT taken up
He seems very intelligent, not a flash sod and doesnt just think he will get a contract at Inter Milan. He also stuck around this year and that has been beneficial to him.
he is doing things the right way and i am sure whatever he does people will support him.
Plus this would be a proper fee, we have developed him into a certer half and he has come out and said that Ashby has improved him.
The fact at least 3 football league clubs are tracking him will alert the local championship teams to have a look at him.
I hope he stays, if he does go Welling will get well rewarded. But as he says, all that matters is the play offs at the moment.
He is a credit to the Football Club and his Parents.
