one question though....IF we had won does anyone know whether the players contracts only go to the last game of season (saturday) if so who would have played in the final...!!!
Thats a terrible result and we have been absymal end of this season, bottled it and not been up for it and gone through the motions.
Jamie and Barry will have to take some of that blame, they failed to motivate the players at the business end when we had a superb chance of getting in the play offs and retaining a cup. We were well short of what was required.
I am sure Jamie will learn from it and bring in some quality players and we can kick on. And dump the players who have been piss poor in the last month.
Jamie and the players have done well this season, but do not over look the fact we havent been at the races when it mattered and really ended the season poorly. If we play like we have the last month next season then you are looking at relegation.

I think that that thought is very premature and most probably said in anger.
BUT I totally agree with you on....
"If that was the reserve team Jamie needs a bollocking end of story."
As I feel after the Support he's had from the fans and the fact the play offs were out of the equasion HE Should Have got The First team out and Rewarded Us with another final. He Said In the Local paper (either the newshopper or bexley times) that he's not won anything in 10 years and Im affraid that by doing what he's done it might be another few years. Depending On his team selections.
I think its pretty factual, if we play like we have since Lewes we will struggle, i am not angry just disappointed that after all the great work the players went missing and the manager and his staff couldnt lift them.
We are guessing as to the team selection. But maybe thats Jamies achilles heel. Resting himself at lewes was pivotal and put us behind the 8 ball and if we in anyway played a weaker team tonight than we could have put out that is a ludicrous decision and another selection mistake.

Good call, but it depends on the team that Daisie put out tonight. If it was the first team, then they should be shafted for not performing. If it was a squad team, then Daisie should be shafted for not trying. We are not going to finish better than mid table, so why not go all out and go for it?

JGFC i salute you - Since Jamie has come in he has done a good job but as you have said we were there. We had a chance to make the play offs and we didnt kick on, all i ever hear is next season this has been going on for while now all i wanted was a play off game to look forward to and now after last night NOTHING.
And all this rubbish about keeping the squad that got as there for last nights game come on it works if you are Man United in the carling cup not at this level, overall a shocking end to the season for what a month ago was looking like it could be a gem.
I think on Sat a few of these players from last night will also play and the chuckle bros will be in centre mid, my prediction for Sat is there will be about 300!
Jamie and his management team should be commended for turning round a seemingly relegation bound team in November and achieving a top half finish with few changes in personnel. However I have to agree that he dropped a monumental blunder in his team selection last night. I would make 3 points to substantiate my point of view.
1. This was the one chance to win something this season and give those who have supported the team through thick and thin and the players themselves something to cheer about rather than finish the season at a relatively low ebb.
2. In the previous round the game against a struggling Ryman Premier side's reserve and youth players showed just how great the gap is between a Suburban South and a Ryman Premier side so why risk playing our reserves against a team in the playoffs for a place in the Ryman Premier and on a high? We should have put out a full strength side, perhaps with all the fringe players starting but with stronger players on the bench.
3. Tomorrow's final league match is a nothing game - we can't finish higher than 9th where we currently sit and no lower than 11th. Top half whatever happens.
Glad I made the decision to support Kent U18's in the FA County Youth Cup final at Gillingham tomorrow (though I would have felt more torn had a play off place been at stake.)

You could go further than slate the team chosen and say its diluded, inept and wtf is he doing picking 3 first teamers.
Sod any living far away, they are paid as they have been paid all season to play for Welling United.
If Jamie feels awkward asking them to play in cups maybe he needs to grow a pair.
I like Jamie, and he wanted to come back to us. And hes done a great job in the main till losing the plot the last month and making two humungous team selection errors that have put the icing or the brown stuff on the cake and weve come up short.
I would say resting himself and playing Hobbs instead of Marsh at Lewes was mental and cost us any chance of a play off.
Then sending a team of stiffs to play in a semi of a cup when we have one nothing game left is just unfathomable.
I know he has to learn, but surely to god he knew the fans wanted a final and a good end to the season, thats a total smack in the face to the fans from Jamie and i'm surprised hes done that after the gaffe at Lewes and the team going AWOL in the last month.
You would have thought EVERYONE at the club, players included wanted to retain the Cup.
Mental and gives me slight doubts as to Jamie's qualities re team selection and motivation.
Both have seemed to show quite huge deficiancies when it mattered.
Having said all that, he will learn from mistakes but he should hold his hands up and take some blame and confirm he knows where he went wrong.
Everyone is behind him he just cant make the same mistakes again and show hes not learned from them, if he does that people will do their tits.
I reckon the players are having a big bet on them to win on Saturday to pay the holidays, so thats why they were saved, i cant see any other reason for that team line up. And if thats the case then its up yours fans.
(PS plenty of teams at this level have their money on in one game to pay for the holidays), sometimes they dont even bet themselves to win.
Remember that depite the players bottling it and going missing in the league, no one got on Jamies or their backs. Everyone took it on the chin.
I hope Jamie gives the list of players hes releasing to James on Saturday and whos signed for next season. ANYONE that refused to play last night should go and i dont care who they are.
