Team Sheet .... who, who and who?????? Incredible managerial decision!! Can't have wanted to win this trophy?

Welling United: Bennett, Ingram, Obersteller, Day, Sambrook, Andrews, Cutler (Marshall 63), Axell, Whitnell (Sagna 63), Marsh (Richards 45), Bakare.

An absolute disgrace of a team selection. Why on gods earth has he done this?

Saturday doesnt meen a thing.

Team selection is Daisys big problem hes screwed up twice massively in what at the time is a big game.

3 first teamers starting? And not even the players on the bench to change things. Has he released 80% of the squad or something.

What a smack in the face for those fans that attended and those of you that had been away all over the place this season.

I am amazed.

The team sheet speaks volumes. Watch them in the reserves not in a cup semi final where its the only thing you have left to play for and you could have finished on a high, now the wimper we have gone out on just got a whole lot quieter.

Everyone is making the assumption that it was Jaimie's decision to rest lots of first team players. Isn't it entirely possible that a lot of our better players just didn't want to play and intend to leave in the summer? This scenario is more plausible than Jaimie resting players for a meaningless league game on Saturday.

Oops. Marsh substituted in the 45th minute yet scored in the 49th??? A touch of late night dyslexia I think. Substitution time should have been 54.

Why Whitnell and Marsh were replaced is beyond me. That probably left a combined five goals scored this season by the players on the pitch.

As for the original selection maybe JD wanted to reward the players who had got the team this far. Ingram, Axell and Marshall did look reasonable in the last round and none of them looked out of place last night (despite the unlucky oggy).

I do think the decision to rest the first teamers who live a long way away was wrong. Folkestone played their entire first team and a final could have brought in a decent crowd and important income.

They could have rested players on Saturday rather than last night. We can't do anything in the league now so why throw away the opportunity to win something.

It was an absolute disgrace to field that team last night. 150 mile round trip to watch players I'd never heard of.

All credit to the team though. They gradually got it together but too late.

Nice day out in Folkestone but how the place has changed since I was last there a couple of years ago. Half the shops are boarded up now.

Had lovely fish and chips in a pub in the harbour. Also bought some smoked haddock at £3 per lb from the fishmonger so not a completely wasted day.

Well done to all that went. I couldn't make it last night due to a meeting but otherwise would have gone. I too am really disapointed to see the side we put out. Clarke is our top man at the moment - he should have played even though it may have meant the bench on Saturday if he couldn't manage two games in 48 hours.

Really disappointed about the result - we had a realy great chance to win the trophy again.

We better get a bloody good performance on Saturday to cheer us up and give us hope for next seaon.

Clarke lives in Peterborough remember.

Who knows why the team was selected this way, chance to see players for the last time before deciding if to keep on next year or release ?? maybe some players are on pay-as-you-play deals so could be financial ?? Could be logistics ?? work commitments (unusual to play Thurs night after all) ??

Who knows.

I'm not sure if the final makes money for club? Is it a 3-way split with Kent FA and the 2 finalists sharing the gate? If it is then a crowd of 900 is just like having a 300 crowd and if you're not at home then you don't get the bar, food money etc. Then appearance fees, bonuses - maybe financially it's not that great BUT it was our chance to win something. Gutted there's no day out or extra match at home.

Sod the money Gary, it would have took the edge of throwing away the season in the league and been a day out for the fans.

LOL at some cup tied and some joined too late, Im actually laughing at that.

We put out a weak team end of story and he used the fact we have Saturday to come as partly why?

Worrying. Im surprised that Ashby hasnt guided Jamie away from making some of this massive gaffes.

Sod Saturday they could win 27-0 and it means nothing. The games that meant something have now passed.

It was a pleasure to meet both yourself and Man in a Green Coat yesterday.

Yes a mistake was made and a game lost that could have been one. Mistakes happen in all walks of life and we should only blame people if they fail to learn from them. We have the makings of a good team next season. I am sure Jamie has set his sights on players and I for one look forward to cheering on the wings at the start of the new campaign (and tomorrow of course).

Met some nice people at Folkestone, on the gate, in the club shop and in their bring and buy shop. Just a pity that the Town of Folkestone has gone so downhill since the ferries pulled out.
