What a fight - over in the first with Bailey having been down twice and then unable to defend himself. Why did the ref ignore the towel - I don't believe that he didn't see it. Showed how hard Khan can punch but I'm not sure that he will get away with such an onslaught when he starts to meet quality opposition.
This result is certain to increase demand for tickets for his next fight if that is possible; just as well the deal was done with ITV.

If we are talking about established UK fighters then Hatton and Calzaghe are class acts. Saying that I don’t think Hatton would have beaten Kostya Tszyu in his heyday; age and lack of fights for two years gave Hatton the edge.
I believe that in time Khan will cut the mustard. He needs to fight a few journeymen before his true potential is known. He certainly won’t be able to steamroller them like he did Bailey. One of us will be proven wrong but which?

Don't think he will take the Harrison route cos he's a lad on a mission. He needs to fight at least a couple of 'nearly made it' fighters who are likely to try and rough him up as part of his development and to see how big his balls are.
