There are posts on the BSS forum that Salisbury will be dropping two leagues. If this is true it could mean WSM will get a reprieve for the third time. This is IMO a total mockery of relegation procedures. Anyone else got ideas on this?
We had our fair share of it in the Conference, if clubs that have tried to buy success go tits up and get relegated 2 or more leagues its the only solution.

I fundamentally disagree with this on the grounds that most of the clubs doing this have laughed in others faces on the way up. If you can't afford a team of that standard and are going to get whacked every week until you find your natural level again, tough, learn some humility on the way.
If just dropping a couple of leagues was not an option, i.e you stay at your level or start again right at the bottom there may be more reluctance to spend what you don't have.

I would like to see the Southern League (or Isthmian or Northern as appopriate) refuse to accept clubs who have been relegated for the same reasons for which the Conference will not allow them to stay other than natural relegation.
Weston have got another reprieve but they have more right to be in this league than Salisbury.
Sadly its all too common in society in general nowadays, not just football clubs. Sooner the banks pull the plug on teams like this the better.
Look at little old Gateshead plugging away in a full-time league with their stupid travel costs because they are so far away from the other teams, and on gates of 400 a home game. Yet "big old" Darlington up the road in their swanky new stadium are now in the same league (1500 average crowd in 25000 all seater, crazy).

And a geezer sticking his hand in is pocket quite a bit if I recall correctly.
