...on Wednesday.  A "highly experienced" manager - I guess that rules out our Jamie.

Ok let's start the speculation: Mark Stimson, Liam Daish, Baker and Dack from Woking, Garvey who has quit Braintree, Burnett (ex-fisher manager), Andy Ford.  Outsider, Warrilow from Tonbridge. Or, I wonder, Steve King from Farnborough.

They better get someone quick as Cloke, Ball and browning have all left with the uncertainty and they only have 5 players on contract.

+1 Jamie has been first class since the end of the season, I will say again he has probably covered the lack of a sponsor by getting the Arsenal game, what the club need to do now is market it well and make sure its all but a full house. Announce it as all ticket, Advertise it create a demand then in the last week or two if some tickets are left then announce it.

3500 x average of £8 = £28,000 (Then Shop/Bars/Programmes/Merchandise on top) thats the equivalent of a blue square premier sponsorship. While Jamie will get little if any of that, it could make a budget cut minimal or non existant and will help massively.

Which other Manager sorted out a friendly like that? I didnt see Parker get Man Utd X1s, Fulham or QPR down to PVR. We must maximise the opportunity, Daisy has done his bit the club need to go for it and get it sold out.

No cant be him said it will be exciting and highly experienced.

I personally am expecting Alan Curbishley or Ian Dowie if the rumoured Mark Hughes appointment falls through.

In further BBB stuff Dover have announced a " Press Conference " for friday but have stated no riff raff allowed there, just press and invited guests lol.

I cant wait for this with white table cloths and poncey water , spotlights and microphones everywhere for the Ryman Champions of a couple of seasons ago. As the Deal Observer and Hythe Star along with the Head of Sport for Hospital Radio Walmer jostle for a front row seat to Question the Chairman and new superstar manager entrusted with bringing Dover Champions League Football by 2016

Will there be live streaming of this exciting Press Conference, or will it be on Sky Sports News Jimmy P?

That's a contradiction in terms. No rif raf but press invited.

Dover want an experienced guy.......probably won't want to pay any compensation so someone not currently in a job.........might need to be pro European.........

Clearly it has to be Gordon Brown

According to Kent Online, the new Dover appointment is set to be 'exciting' which probably means it could be a big name. I know its a long shot, but doesn't Zola live in Kent?

Given where you live, aren't you technically a gentleman of the Fifth Column?

Are we talking proximity to France or things that worried Churchill? I am sure His Cigarship would have been proud of me as a  reddish hue politically endangered species in this area.  Some pubs have the resident colonel or major, round here I'm the outspoken, old-fashioned, curiosity in the corner of the pub who has to be humoured!

The most salubrious part of the Isle of Thanet with historical links to Dickens, John Buchan (39 Steps) a recent link with the late Oliver Postgate creator of Bagpuss, The Clangers etc ( who was also a politically endangered species in this area when alive)!

Thought you'd miss the point. I know exactly where you live as we have discussed your favourite boozer in Broadstairs on several occasions.

One favourite boozer in Broadstairs, but I prefer the White Swan in Reading Street (part of St Peters) and the Montefiore Arms in Ramsgate where I can sup a fine pint of Gadds No.7 (a local brewery) for £2 a pint.

Went on the St Peters Village tour a couple of years ago. A walking tour lasting around 2 and a half hours and well worth going on if you have an interest in social history.
