I reckon Jamie is playing a canny game before commiting some of his budget to new signings. While other clubs are picking up some reasonable players, I am pondering whether Jamie is letting them get on with it before swooping for better players in a month's time.

Hes obviously putting feelers out and has said hes got players in mind or is close to agreeing deals.

Hes got the ones he wanted from last year signed up (minus Hurrell) so everything looks in order.

I've got no doubt at all that Jaimie has some very good players lined up. Generally the main complaint about him on these forums seems to be that he doesn't tell us everything that he is up to behind the scenes. Well, why should he.

My sources tell me it is been very hard for Jamie to get the players he wants for next season as there are clubs out there offering better wages and some players are holding out to see if better offers come to them from different clubs, which I can understand in these diffcult times every penny counts not only for the clubs but for the players. My main worry is what will be left after these clubs paying the bigger wages get the players they want,

I feel we will have a good squad but one that challenges next season maybe out of the question but I think Jamie will build other the season and season 2011/12 will be our season

We know we cant compete for the very best player at this level, that's see if Jamie and the staff can spot another Kedwell .

Remember Sambrook was rumoured to one of the largest earners last season and wasnt great, a few years back Carpenter was largest earner again not great and then there was tony Browne again not great.

I think Jamie is doing a great job and the best players are not always the ones who want the most!!!

You sure you're not a Dartford supporter in disguise!

Spitey ive been saying it for months. Just check the users previous posts. Always belittling Welling and saying oh how can "we" compete with Dartford and big clubs.

Well spotted Spitey.

How does he know that? You seem very negative in everything you post.

There are or will be a lot of players looking for clubs. Sure we will miss out on some but the aim is to improve on last season when we gave every other club a two month start and still only fell short at the end.

Why should J rush in, he still has to look at the lads during trainning, then make his mind up,
no point rushing in ......

Football league players contracts do not finish until the end of June (ie Beckford of Leeds contract was ripped up, although only 5 weeks to the completion, so he could sign now for Everton) So i think waiting for that day, before signing then available players
