It seems that they are no nearer to knowing which league they will be playing in next season and it all appears to be no fault of their own.
In mid-April they received a letter from the FA advising them that they had until 12th June to carry out work to their perimeter path to enable them to attain the necessary ground grading to remain in Ryman North. However they were then told by the Ryman League that they were being demoted as they had failed to carry out the work by the middle of May.
According to a posting today on the Non League Daily site their appeal is currently going nowhere as the FA are telling them to correspond with the Ryman League and the Ryman League are telling them to refer everything to the FA.
It seems incredible that the two organisations cannot get round a table and agree to immediately reinstate the club as the work has been completed before the FA's deadline.
VCD's officers and management must be tearing their hair out over this hopeless inefficiency.
