Pound Note left here as Travelling was too much, LOL!

Dartford are doing a bit of a Dover, their budget must be very big. Wonder if the council will bail them out when it goes tits up.

Burman will find this league a big test.

Doesn't Sheringham now play for a club that is further away from where he lives than we are? Why Dartford? What is wrong with him? Do they sell large buckets in the Orchards? :D

Did they have to pay a fee for him? Bishops Stortford had to, eventually, pay us a £6,500 tribunal fee.  Would they have let him go on a free?

Also, how will Dartford FC fare when the Council has to cut its spending and possibly some of its services?

I saw him something like three times. He was always signing autographs and chatting to fans. I remember one time he brought along his latest girlfriend, and she looked about 18 :O

Charlie was a good player for us - and I reckon he would have enjoyed a second year with us if he had stayed.  He is good in the air and his positioning is good but he lacks the pace of an Andy Pugh.  I think we will have a better forward line.

I saw Teddy many many times - home and away. Best part was the young ladies he brought with him. All normally younger than his son. He was even at that embarrassing game at Whyteleafe in the Cup.

I think you will find he will be a regular at Dartford but will not stay the full the 90 minutes as he leaves as soon as Charlie gets taken off - I predict a regular occurance.

Teddy was there quite alot ,allways talking to people and signing autographs seemed a nice bloke. Dont underestimate Dartford theyl ook to be going for it this year, we know Charlie will get you twenty goals a season.

I love these teams that have been playing in the heady heights of the ryman league for DECADES that get up to our league then give it the BBB and start spending money.

Well what would you do then? Enlighten us as to how you would operate, if you were Dartfords manager?
We learnt our lesson when we got promoted to the Ryman Prem. We stuck with our Div 1 North winning  team, and was getting spanked each week. This time we have gone out and got BSS players in, whats BBB about that then. We have a large home support that raises a lot of cash. Our pre season fixtures last season alone saw nearly 9000 come through the gate.We have a players budget that has been increased by 10% for the coming season. It is being spent wisely, and there is still money in the pot.
So come on then. How would you operate? What would YOU have liked us to do?

Dartanian

We have seen many clubs come up or suddenly start trying to buy the league. We have seen..

Weymouth
Grays
Fisher
Hornchurch
Lewes
Farnborough

All destroyed by this tactic.

Dover almost went busto trying it and there are other clubs that have just about stayed in this league after over spending.

Fisher, Hornchurch and Now Grays suffered multiple relegations or dropped down at their own request because of this.

True in your case having a free stadium, no rent and a director on the local council helps. But try and buy this league against teams like Dover, Woking, Chelmsford, Farnborough and the half a dozen other teams throwing money at players, you are playing russian roulette. And in any case is it just whos got the best free ground now and who can try and buy success?

Few if any succeed with this tactic and it can cause lasting damage or destroy the club. Please dont cry and get the buckets out if it goes tits up or complain when people laugh.

Where have you been the last 25 years? Funny how now theres no rent and money coming in from your free ground you are having some success. So the reason for success is all this? Or a great manager, great club and great team spirit. I know which one i think its is.

All of those 3 clubs were ryman at best before trying to buy success. They all got mercinary players on telephone number wages who are still going strong, the clubs are fecked though, but as long as you have some excitement along the way.

And you throw all this dosh at players and clubs that keep within their means almost gate crash the party like Thurrock and Welling.

There will be much laughter soon the Way Dover, Farnborough and yourselves are going on.

JGFC Dartford do have a strict wage struture I can be assured that they will not break that, the thing is with our crowds and what we generate through sponsorship we cannot compete for the better plyers in this league that is why we need a good sponsor and other ways to generate cash, yes they have a free ground as such but what would we give to have a council like that I know we would not say no to it so why have a go at these clubs because they can afford to bring these sort of plyers in.

IMHO you are either a person that just like to wind other clubs up and give us a bad name especially on BSS Forum, or maybe your just a little jealous and as for your remarks about where Dartford have been in the last 20+ years they went bust because of Maidstone not something of their own doing so it not fair to throw that at them and before you start I am a Welling supporter through and through but also a fair and honest person who likes local clubs to do well, I wish Dartford all the best in the coming season just not against the wings

You are a dartford fan who trys to belittle welling. Its always "How great are dartford". and always welling have a poor budget, no one will sign for welling.

Cumbers
Pugh
Coyle

along with 6 or 7 who were challenging for the play offs last year.

So far 2 of those coming from the football league. Yes Daisy is finding it so hard to attract the players he wants isnt he. ROFL

You are giving dartford fans a bad name (Along with Dartanian), there i will just tar all Dartfords fans with the same brush like you have lamely tried to do.

How can you be assured that Dirtford will not break their wage structure?

I'm sure Welling would welcome your assistance in finding a sponsor. The cub is well aware of the need.

As for them going bust because of Maidstone, who invited the cuckoo to take over the nest?

Joe Bruce would not displace Andrews or Parkinson and in my opinion Pugh is better than Sheringham so why would anyone be bothered about their signings?

You are doing Dirtford as many favours on here as Top Darter is on the BSS board.

Not sure why I bother really I support the wings but really truley maybe I will not anymore considering the welcome I get on here no wonder our crowds struggle compared to others who would want to come to watch welling after reading what you have to say to anyone on here and other forums JGFC you are part the reason people will not turn up at PVR to watch and you make welling look a laughing stock in this and other forums

I will not bother to pay the entrance fee this season when all i get is crap

Wings 63 you should continue, i have always found your postings interesting also your discussions with jgfc to me are what a forum is/should be about.
Welling utd fans forum is about thoughts and opinions nothing more nothing less whether its right or wrong,or brings controversy.

FFS Wings63 is a Dartford supporter, read Danson Marks post a bit deeper.

And CJ i have a dig at a club yes but i give the reasons. Dover, Dartford , Stortford etc. Wings 63 just comes on his stroking his willy saying "oooooooooooooooooh dartford" and "aaaaaaaaaw poor ickle welling cant get players"

As Mark has said, Parky and Andrews are diff class to Bruce and Pugh is Diff class to Poundnote.

All Wings63 is trying to do is stir up people, he did it when the manager talks were going on, hes said "oooooooooooooh dartford" about 957 times and slagged our club and tried to create the impression no one should sign for us.

Can we all wise up a little bit and get with the program. Hes got penis envy and has rabbit in headlight syndrome now his club are up with Welling and bigger teams and trying to create an impression they are this great club who should get the players welling are going for.

When we all know they are a Ryman side with no history and are in effect a plastic council fc after Dartford were finished.

Also agree with Danson Mark, Wings63 claims that Maidstone ruined Dartford, but who the hell let Thompson in at Watling Street. 100% their own fault.

Can we all stick together and ignore Wings63 hes got mental issues and loves our club so much he wants to give the impression we are a bit shyte as Dartford are competing with us.

I defy any of you to find one pro welling post from wings63. Its absolutely laughable. You will do well to find a post that isnt saying how great dartford is or how crap welling are. Doom mongering Council FC fan. How gullable are SOME of you. Wake up peeps.

A Ebbsfleet fan has posted on our forum asking if we have a lot of negative posts because he is getting fed up with what is happening, or should I say not happening down at the Fleet. Well the great man Jeremy Kite (Leader of DBC and director of DFC) read the post and out of the kindness of his heart has issued a personel invitation to the poster to be is quest and enjoy the Princes Park experiance. I am sure the same could be arranged for JgFc if he is at a loose end one Saturday.biggrin

Surely its the other way around.

Dartanian, Dartford Fan, Wings63

All registered on the Welling Forum, lads if you are that worried about Welling and fed up with the galacticos (sorry the plasticos) at Dartford then can i suggest you in the first part get tickets for the Charlton and Arsenal Friendlies at Welling. Then get a season ticket at the San Siro aka PVR.

Jeremy Kite is not a great man. He is an egotist who splashes his picture all over the front of the civic centre and spends more time promoting himslef than Dartford.

As a resident of Dratford Borough I think that it is disgusting that he spent so much of mine and other residents money on the football club when the town centre is a disgrace.

Kite was the man who was in Tesco's pocket and tried to put a road through Dartford (probably the only nice area in Dartford town centre). Kite is far from a great man!

Also as leader of Dartford Borough Council and director of the football club isn't he diverting taxpayers money for his own interest.

That's exactly what he's doing. It's a conflict of interests. How about writing to a rival councilor about it.

I don't know much about Mr Kite (Kyte?) as I am a Thanet not a Dartford resident, but it seems to me that the Wings could do with someone like him on Bexley Council!

Agree with that Bertie. As Dartford have Jeremy Kyle perhaps we can get Vanessa Felts on Bexley's Council?

Of course we would all like a councillor on our board, who got us a new ground...

Hang on that sounds a bit fishy? Any rolling up of trousers occuring in the car park?

Sales of vaseline must have sky rocketed in Dartford when that happened.
