Should be a a good day out if this weather stays in. Have emailed Herne Bay twice and asked if i can video the friendly, they havent been bothered to reply yet sadly. Maybe they will see this.
If they get back to me i will go and get some highlights up, Want to test the new camera.
Whos going? What are the local watering holes like near the ground?
What can we expect? First Half First X1 second half trialists? Any news on players from pre season going to be given a run out?
Did Danny Lawrence come with Marsden for Pre Season or not? Herne Bay say only one play left from last year , Marsden.
If i go i am really looking forward to seeing Lawson set loose for 45 minutes, ive heard good things about him if he is fit.

Jgfc from what we know through the forum there are 9 contract players 4 non-contract also 3 back from last season looking for non-contract and two named trialists lawrence marsden. mitten coyle andrews parkinson obersteller fazackerley cracknell clarke lawrence pugh cumbers subs cutler day hobbs lawson marsden sambrook whitnell subject to fitness and availability i do believe midfield needs a bit more to it .
There's The Heron which is right near the station. I went in there years ago but don't know what it's like now. It used to be OK.
There's also a Wetherspoons on the front called The Saxon Shore. You might be lucky and get some of the Whitdtable Brewery stuff there. I fully recomend the Oyster Stout if they do.
You could try the Bun Penny pub near the sea front. Was a good pub all the times i used to go in there. Used to live in Herne Bay and had my first pint of beer in that pub. Yeah the Wetherspoons is good to and that one next to the station as well. I was sorely tempted to go to the Herne Bay game, but times are hard etc. so decided to stick to the home friendlies.
Oh and i considered Oyster Stout to be my beer of the festival at the 2007 and 2008 Great British Beer Festivals :D
Lets hope Daisy is the first name on the team sheet and he doesnt think about leaving himself out. he gets us going, has a good engine and passes well. I would personally have him taking free kicks too.
Hes one of our best players we need to use him to hurt teams. All he has to do to the others is say when you get your chance make it impossible for me to pick myself. Hes only 30 hes a young man and shouldnt even think about retiring from playing for 3 or 4 years as a minimum.
Its all very well Daisy telling Louis to get more goals, But Daisy takes a great free kick and should be having digs from 25 yards. He needs to chip in with some goals too.
Not a dig at the man, hes class, just have a bit more confidence, we have confidence in him as a player.

Didn't we play them in a friendly a couple of years ago. If is the same place I got bitten by some horrible insecty thing and it was horrible for days. That was an evening game so hopefully an afternoon game will not be as bad.
