One day on from the news that pretty much rocked the lot of us and I feel totally depressed about the situation

I will do everything I can as will others BUT can we really RAISE the 55k (if that is what it is) in 12 days

There have been some fantastic ideas on this site over the past 24 hours but I just cant see how many would make a difference THAT quickly

Of course I dont know (and I dont think any of us do) what stance the petition will take OR indeed which option the club will go for at that petition (I hope we are told before they go to the meetingif at all possible)

Is it a shot across the bows???.....Is it a warning OR is it a DESPERATE situation.....I dont know and I dont really understand it all

All I have seen is other clubs going through this AND coming out the other end...Lewes being an example

We dont have a sugar daddy to get us out of this so my feeling is that it needs an investor and one pretty quick.........I just hope that out there somewhere is a compamy or an individual that is watching all of this and is preparing to move

The thought of there being NO WELLING UTD doesnt do me a lot of good or indeed the rest of you guys and girls as whether it is right or not the club form a big part of our lives in the 9/10 months of the football season

Lets see what can be done......For me I think that the AUCTION that Patsy is planning should be brought forward to AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!

With some good advertising we 'could' raise a good few quid from that

Well there you have it..........it will all develop over the next 2 weeks and we will see where we are

Where will I be tomorrow.......shouting myself hoarse will the team on to three points...cos that is what we do best on match days

See you there!!!

We need a friendly mark its the quickest and best way of generating LARGE Funds.

We should approach every big club from Birmingham to the South East.

if they could name one or two well known players in their team we COULD get 2000 in thats 20k thats a big dent in the 55k and if we can add a bit more in the mean time we have a chance. This buys us time to sort other stuff.

In my opinion its NOT a warning shot. Raise the money or its Goodnight. Theres a chance we could get a CVA or Administration but thats a point deduction one way and probably kent league the other.

IF we get an investor or a big friendly before the Hearing i am very confident we can get an extention of time.

Quite simply unless someone comes in and says heres £50k, we need to have a friendly and with a decent team promised.

As said before we wil have to bring in ressies or academy so the 15 we have fit can play 45 mins each and treat it like a training session on a Thursday.

Between Daisy, Ashby, Barrie, Andy Townsend, Paul Barron, Steve Finnan and Keith Rowland i am sure we could get ONE decent team to send a good team down given the circumstances. the club have the contacts so this is down to them. Its our best option by a mile in the short term.

Yes its a pain to play another game but Jamie can play 7 first teamers in each half and complement that with Guests from the league who have been released and are looking for a club or Academy or one or two wings legends.

Also whatever the game you put on you are likely to get a fair wack of Charlton, Millwall fans and other well wishers for a one off big benefit game.

In my opinion the club need to spend today on this as its the easiest way to get a big payment. If we could sell it out and it is possible if we get a first team. We are nearly there for the winding up order.

Not only could people like Andy Townsend and Steve Finnan set a match up, they are so well off they could BUY the club. Just a thought.

Has anyone from the club contacted some of these ex players of ours that have since done good?

Dogme, i dont think Townsend would be, he seems to be happy as a media man charging upto 10k an appearance, and im not sure Steve has the contacts to bring in the people needed to help run it and i think its a bit of a cheek asking them, they will hear we are in the **** and if they want to donate they will. I think if they are interested they will come to us.

Perhaps Finnan will guest for us in a friendly? or get an allstars team together to play us. Ive seen Townsends first touch these days and it aint pretty haha.

All is far from lost.

we still have the hearing to go.

We have cleared £30K, which the court should accept as we are trying to meet our obligations.

Also yesterday someone (I think JGFC) said that Lewes had been granted an extension, and they had paid off £30K off of a £125K debt.  In law precident is all, and I am sure that our legal representatives will pick up on the Lewes case.

As I said yesterday, I doubt very much if it is in the interest of HMRC to close us down. We are not big enough to be a high profile casualty.

At the moment Government is looking for every penny it can find, and forcing us into a tax hearing is the equivelent of HMRC searching down the back of the sofa.

Is it just that I haven't noticed something or are we missing something I would consider essential.

Is there any meeting planned between supporters, board etc?

Essentially we have no time, we all cannot sit around speculating individually or on what one side or the other knows and is prepared to do.

I cannot attend Saturday (for reasons as important to me as this club surviving) but I would see after the match on Saturday as a prime time for just such a meeting.

We all have to know the perception of how dire the scenario is, what the legal advice is on how much is likely to buy us time and who can do what. It is most definitely not the time for recrimination in any such meeting or any factional elements. I do not see this at the moment and the one thing we do need is the effort to be FOCUSED. We simply do not have the time, money or resources to do this in a half assed way.

How about auctioning a place in the starting line up?

There must be someone who would be willing to stump up a decent amount to play in a game like this.
