HT - Dover 1 Welling 1
Dover controlled the first 25 mins but didn't stretch their lead, going close on several occasions. Healy's goal knocked the stuffing out of Dover and Welling were beating on the door with half time approaching.

I would have taken a draw against money bags Dover before the game. Should have won but proud of the boys.

charlie coylie stella daisy andrews parky faz sambrook cumbers pugh healy. Proud of all of them. Big thanks to steve and jim parmenter and dover athletic. Vid highlights tomorrow pm. Head up mitten youve saved us loads and you are still the best keeper in the league.

And Charlie, you could have given the gloves to patsy for the auction lol. Someone in the crowd got a souvenir.

We were superb in patches. Draw probably fair but they got the draw given to them. Charlie has been a hero for us and its just unfortunate.

One Charlie Mitten as both sets of supporters sang.. only our fans meant it!

Roll on Havant. Great turn out and great singing from Welling today.

Jamie Coyle was immense IMHO he threw himself at everything and kept geeing our lot up.

The first 20 minutes, we were all over the place, then we came to life.  We passed the ball on the floor and got our just deserves with a good goal from Mr Healey.  Loads of chances to shoot at distance, but no-one wanted to have a go?
Dover were good at the passing game, but when we came alive, we matched them all the way, no probs.
Jamie must have had a word with them at half time, cos after the break, the shots were coming in.
Andy Pughs goal was class and a great through ball from Louis.  We can do it if we try.  After our goal, it appeared that we took the foot of the gas and let Dover come back into the game.  A thundering shot was only parried by Charlie that allowed a tap in for two all.  Shame for Charlie and the rest of the team, but, as JgFc said, you are still the best in the league - afterall Charlie, everyone has an off day, so no-one will blame you for that.
Overall, I think a good and fair result for us.  If we can only keep the ball down, keep possession and pass, we will be amongst the mix.
Great to hear the Wings supporters sing and chant as much as, if not better than the Dover supporters.
Keep the lads motivated Jamie, we will make it.

Jamie Day was disciplined today and composed, he was trying too hard vs Humpit and Rushmen and flying in everywhere and could have got sent off, it was only him desperate to get us going. Tonight he was more the Jamie we know. We struggled with Dover early (first 20) but then we passed it and passed it and passed it and silenced the home fans. Our goals were absolute class, both would win goal of the season elsewhere this year.

Players are playing as a team, they all celebrated and ran to each other. Jamie, Ashby and Frosty are doing a great job keeping them focused. They KNOW the club and the fans are doing their bit off the pitch. Remember we had Loick, Clarkey and Crackers all missing and we still could have won away at Dover.

Well done boys, see you at Havant.

He was having some serious word with some of them on the pitch during the game and it worked. I thought our work rate was terrific for the final hour. After half an hour I would have been happy with a draw - they could have had 3 or 4. After that we took over and I thought looked comfortable at 2-1 so in the end I was a bit disappointed to only come away with a point.

Team did show its real potential tonight. Hard working as well as skillful. I have to especially mention Joe Healy - fanatastic goal and his work rate and tackling was top drawer. I haven't been his greatest fan but with this performance and what he has done off the pitch - top bloke.

It would be nice if some of the more creative fans amongst us made some big banners/flags to be displayed particularly at home games. Every other team's fans seem to do it.

Was a good game and a well earned point for us, i'm sure we'd have all taken that beforehand, especially when we went 1-0 down! Was uncharacteristic of Charlie to spill something, but he's a solid keeper and i'm sure we all still have faith in him. Decent singing last night, 'Jamie Day's red army' seemed to go on for hours!

WSU / CLUB Shop have looked into this so anyone who wants a flag go into the club shop and speak to them.

I know to get best price they have to order plenty.

Fantastic result last night but still not quite right. To take your captain/centre half and play him in the centre of the park, left a hole at the back which was exploited twice by Dover. If we would have stuck with the formation of saturday, would we have won? Front line still not quite sharp enough, Pugh outstanding, overcompensates for Cumbers, needs to put in a better shift.

Personally would like to see Tommy given a start, Cumbers hasn't done much last two games for me. Pugh and Whitnell just have a connection like we saw last season.

Peanuts feel free to be positive without veiled digs all the time, you are starting to sound like the doom mongerer whos been banned lots recently.

Cumbers still had a couple of chances. We do have Tommy to come in yes. Pugh has been superb. But they are a team and they are all standing up strong and giving their all. Cumbers is prolific at this level in the past and he just needs one to go in.

Jamie is the boss and he will shuffle them when he feels he has too.

I thought we passed the ball better than we have since we came back in for pre season, so why not say it was a good move sticking Parky in the middle?

We could be critical for not closing down Wynter in midfield, for dropping a fierce shot that gave them the equaliser. But what about Charlie's good save in the first half and the amount of headers Coyle won, or Pugh's running and the two superb goals? The way we never caved in when Dover never let us have a kick for 25 mins and we took over despite having 3 midfielder out injured. It was a very positive performance.

The reason it wasn't a good move moving parkinson into midfield is because the back 4 was solid saturday, so why change something when its not broken.

Because he wanted to pass it in midfield. Jack made some good moves in midfield and set some chances up.

I would say that made the move a success. If Jack was at the back then whose to say we would have knocked it about and scored 2?

On Saturday the defence ONLY had to deal with long punts and they coped more than adequately. Dover come at you from all angles.

I personally think Daisy got it spot on last night. Of Course Jack is a center half and when we have players fit he should play there. Sambrook made one unbelieveable tackle aswell so he did well.

Personally think flags at home games belong with 'musical' instruments in Room 101.

The big flag will be at Havant.

Spot on. I think Jamie saw that Sambrook hasnt really got the legs to play in there and i think it was a good move putting Jack in there him and Jamie looked a decent pairing at times and did move the ball well.

Its nice to have players in the team that can move around and play well in different positions.

I don't think he is wrong but that's what the forum is all about. People see games differently and pick up on things which others might not have.

I'm sure Jamie and his team have a take on what worked and what didn't in games and address any issues at training.

I wasn't there so can't comment beyond what I've been told and it would appear that overall we played well and in my opinion that is the message which needs to be sent out.
