Classic Rock & Roll with some Rockabilly thrown in hits the Wings Bar on 8 October 2010 when Vernon and the GI's take to the stage for a fundraising gig.
The band have been on the Rock & Roll circuit for almost 40 years and during that time have played at venues up and down the country and at Rock & Roll weekenders both here and on the continent and recorded at Abbey Road. Their self penned I'm A Teddy Boy has become an anthem and has been covered by many other bands.
After playing the Wings Bar they are off to appear at the Crazy Rhythm Teds & Rockers weekender in Spain.
The first record released by Vernon and the GI's which is still one of the most requested songs in their repertoire and one I am sure will be on the setlist for 8th October. We may even get to see Gary and Vernon go walkabouts through the audience with a drum.

What a great night of rock n roll - even better when Bruno had a little bop Just a shame about the turnout though, I would guess about 30? Congrats to all involved with the organisation and a big thanks to Vernon and the G I's.
It was certainly a very good night of rock n roll, and a truly professional performance. A big thank you to Vernon and the GI's, also to Bruno for all the hard work organising this event. What a shame the turnout was so low, after all Bruno's efforts. At least those that did attend appeared to be full of praise for the group, and were really rocking.
Great night and well organised Bruno. All the guys in the band loved the evening and would love to play again. Tony is here as we speak and would like to convey good luck to us all
Kevin Grayston who attended the gig writes reviews for Crackerjack, the online rockabilly magazine. His piece on our Band Night is in the latest issue and anyone interested can find it on page 6 of the current issue.
