Apparently since the winding up petition was put in place Welling United have not been able to register any players other than the 16 on duty for the first game. That was why we did not fill the bench today even though Anthony Achempong was fit and available.
Does that mean that Loick Pires and Lee Clarke are currently not registered then as they were not fit for first game? So had they been fit today they would have been unavailable?
No they are fine as they were registered to play for us but unavailable. Its absurd we cant register some of our academy, Yet Dartford can sign a keeper 3 hours before a match under special dispensation emergency loans. Also, correct me if i am wrong but didnt adam marsh and jake hobbs sign dual registration with Maidstone and Welling in pre season. that was printed in the press. I understand they may left properly since.

Actually I think for Clarke or Pires to play whoever is not in the 16 chosen has to be de-registered and then the replacement registered so until the embargo is lifted neither will be allowed to play.
Please could someone explain the Weymouth situlation last season? Did they have a transfer embargo as well? I can remember they had to play kids against us when several of their first team left!
We've only been allowed sixteen registered players so had to de-register the injured Clarke and Pires. Shame the League haven't been as quick to lift the ban as they were to place it. Hopefully something will be sorted this week.
Doubt it, Clarkey told me a week or two at bromley and loicks leg was strapped up at bromley so i think as long as we get it lifted before saturday all is ok. Loick should be nearly fit and Clarkey is outside chance to be fit for our next game.
