Great but this needs to be advertised outside of the club:
all local Premier & Football League clubs' message boards; local papers, print & web;
We also need to move into action pronto and leaflet stations, car parks etc. so can someone knock up a leaflet - suggest A5 with "Non-League Day" and "Football for a fiver" in big letters with the rest of the press release in smaller font below it. Probably also worth sticking the club badge on it, too.
As a press release I would hope the local papers were advised of this. News Shopper will have gone to print yesterday so it will be too late for that organ although I would hope it can still be given prominence on their interweb site.
I have copied it and e-mailed to all the season ticket holders of league clubs I know.
Get a poster on the Park View Road fence with it on too. A lot of buses pass the ground.
Its a great idea by the club, a bit of common sense which some have been suggesting on here. Well done, as Russ says the word needs to get out ... thats the real trick and thats where it will bring in people.
IF we can get a mention on radio kent, ralksport ITV BBC regional sport etc it will get out quicker. Also we need to post on ALL London teams in the Premier and Championship about the offer.
Its going to be hard with 3 days notice to get this to work, but its worth a try.

OK ... have sussed out the way to get printed size copy .... won't do any myself (in Spanish) reckon the trip might be too much for friends here in the pueblo
I think it would be a good idea to let all local schools know about this initiative. Perhaps, if the schools have a website, the poster advertising the venture (the one stressing that free admission for under 12s applies to children accompanied by an adult) could be emailed to them.

Would have to be done by the club's email address Bertie for obvious reasons. But is an excellent idea if they can give the kids a flyer to take home to their parents on Thursday or Friday at local Schools.

Just a thought - perhaps the various youngsters playing for Wings/Kingsmoor teams could print out one of the flyers and take it to their schools/give a copy to their mates?

I have posted this on a Millwall Forum - and it had plenty of views and some encouraging replys congratulating the Club on its efforts and wishing Welling well.
Talksport have confirmed that are happy to give it a good plug tomorrow. Matty Holland (ex Charlton) is presenting a show so a good bit of local knowledge there. They are going to ring the club tomorrow to try and get a quote from Barrie or someone from club
Phoned the club earlier and left a message for barrie on the answer phone telling about talksport and left my friends number for him. But they will phone the club anyway.
Last Friday, Patrick Maber, the actor/playwright was on TalkSPORT talking about Lewes' recent problems. He was expecting 600 fans to attend Lewes' home game against Dover the following day.
The attendence was 721, l wonder how many more went to the game after Maber's interview on TalkSPORT?

Quite a lot of schools in this area go back next Monday unfortunately.
Not pointing fingers, but it is a shame that this initiative was not announced earlier so it could be advertised further in advance and flyers could have been given to people attending the Lewes game.

Bertie weve had so much going on off the pitch and there are only two of them administrating the club.
Be fair, no other club at our level have been forthcoming with offers days and weeks ago for this.
Bertie, you are an exec lounge bertie and are at every game and also some away games, surely if you have all this doubts about the club (marketing, embargo etc etc) you could ask Barrie or Barry?
Lets be positive, The players are being positive, the club are and so are the fans. We just have to sort those ********************* at the conference who are bending us over and having their way and also pay the taxman and we will be stronger and tighter.
