Ilkestone wound up over £50k tax debt; http://www.ilkestonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/BREAKING-NEWS-Ilkeston-Town-wound.6520037.jp I find this quite worrying considering they had a plan to pay back so much per month. Debts of this size shouldn't cost a club and town its football club in my opinion. Not when the big boys have debts of millions. __________________

I understand that Man U + Birmingham plus several other Premierships clubs - owe millions to HRMC. Source - today's Guardian. They haven't been taken to Court yet - why not? And if they were, would they be wound up so quickly. __________________

Fair point Chelwing. All the same, we are in the wrong on this and need to get things right. Man Utd in court for HMRC would be farcical, imagine them shutting them down ... there would be a riot. Does seem unfair. __________________ Thou shalt support Welling and Faz
