Dont make it out to be a big thing. Its just another game, keep the pressure off the players. Its NOT THEIR JOB TO RAISE THE MONEY.
They can help by a run or cuts.
FA Cup is great that its here, lets enjoy the games and hope the players carry on performing. It would be wrong and foolhardy to count the possible money to be had.

No One is counting it......it is what is there this year....It is real so we cannot hide from it and they cant keep it from us unlike the £8,000 they are withholding at the moment
Mark my point is we cant sit there and think win 2 rounds and we get a chunk of the HMRC money, we need to raise that first. Then we have the FA Cup money and gig money etc etc to pay off other debts and invest a little in Jamie's Team.
It could be great, but we need to being in investors or sponsors or to put it blunt its game over.
I still maintain even if you get 2 reserve teams from Premiership or Championship you will raise 20,000 plus and if you get a first team. IF IF IF then you would get more.
My own feeling is if we have to play 4 reserve teams and get 700 800 in thats 25k plus. If we can raise 30-40k through friendlies, gigs, raffles before teh 14 weeks we will have a good chance of getting a sponsor (some may be waiting to see if we get past the HMRC).
We cannot sit here waiting for an investor or sponsor or FA Cup match we NEED to bring in chunks and friendlies/benefit games are the single best way and with 12 weeks to go there is NO Excuse not to get a couple lined up.
Again if anyone has any other ideas to raise 20-30k then put them up here.
If we get friendlies a cup run, the embargo lifted, the 8k off strudwick, a sponsor, investors, improve advertising, get regular gigs and events, drive crowds up through flyering and awarness drives. We could be one of the best run clubs in the league. We have to get to the stage where we are able to stave off HMRC though and guarantee money first. We arent doing that at the moment. Relying on Fans or FA Cup is not good enough.

My dear MarkX, you are so right when you say that the money could make a difference.
Here's some ideas that I believe should be on the top of the list of things to do;
1. Get fluffy beer mats on the tables in the bar. 2. Purchase waiter's uniforms for everyone that helps serve behind the bar. 3. Buy another TV and show non footballing programmes for those of us who hate football. 4. Obtain heated toilet seats and musical toilet roll holders.
