They scored against the run of play. We looked all at sea at the back for 20 mins, no understanding between defence and keeper as you would expect. We created little, they were up for it we werent. We are carrying Clarkey at the mo but he takes a while to get fit. He will come good and he has to play to get fit. A fit Clarkey is different gravy.

Thought Joe ran his balls off for us, Loick looked lively when he came on. One of those days but this is what happens when the keeper lives hundreds of miles away and doesnt train with the team. Hes obviously a fair keeper you dont play 150 league games if you are pish.

We need to bounce back. We lacked spark and our heads went down.

Parky back next game i think so i would pop him in midfield and stay the same at the back unless you move Joe in the middle, have Loick on the left and go Parky and Graeme center halfs and coylie back at full back and bring Clarkey on second half while he is getting fit to play in the middle.

We are playing poo in yellow can we wear the blue kit or red lol when they dont clash.

Heads up boys we will give you that performance as you have been fantastic. Weston were average just motivated and deserved their win fully without them being good.

Good number of welling fans there in a gate of just over 200.

Think I agree with JgFc's comments, hope keeper will train with and get to know the team.
On a personal note to add insult to injury ran and managed to get on 21.32 Bexleyheath line train at Charing Cross with about 3 seconds to spare. Got to London Bridge and was told problems at Barnhurst and now going via Greenwich. It didn't and went to lewisham where told line open and normal stations to be served. At Blackheath after a 5 min stop told line closed and going via Charlton. Got off two buses to get home soaked through p'd off and going to bed.furious

I will have some highlights up probably tomorrow will do at least 5 mins or so, very tired, deflated and soaked.

Every team has a stinker now again the good thing is we have plenty of good performances and results so we know its just a blip.

Thank you to Richard at Weston for his help in being able to film today and good luck to Weston for the rest of the season.

Chin up people, one of those days.

If we were ever going to have a stinker, it would have been yesterday after the cull of players during the week. Let's hope the new 'keeper can gel with the defence prior to the next match - we have a bit of time prior to the next match to get back to our recent high standard.

Yep...I would say that NOT ONE had a good game yesterday....When one or two have a bad one it can be covered up but when all have a bad one then......what can you do

Week off now so some good tight training and re emerge a better team with maybe....just maybe some good news to back it up too

The glaring thing is when we keep it short and pass and move we are superb. Sometimes we are getting outbattled in midfield then just aim long balls at Pugh and Cumbers. I would have thought to do that we need to put Pires up front and play one off of him or even Healy so he can hold it up.

We still had good lots of chances. Loui's shot, Pughie's shot Coylie's Free Header, Loik's header and a few half chances. At least we created chances on an off day so theres plenty to work on and some positives.

Hold it together hopefully we can get the embargo off and Jamie can add one or two and we can kick again.

I will be looking for some bouncebackability at the next game and a few of them showing some fire in their belly. I would have had Coylie captain (if Jack is out) as he gees them up and leads by example. I am sure Parky will gee them up next game.

For me the reason we lost is beacue we changed goal keeper. I have never seen Andrews look so shaky and that was because he didnt feel confident that he had someone backing him up. Stewart was easily at fault for our second goal and the shots he did save he still looked shaky. What worries me is that this guy lives in Bournemouth so will never ever train with us. I Dont see it working, all succesful sides are built with a good goal keeper, we had that but because of the budget he had to go, this guy is not a good replacment and I would be disappointed to see him in goal against Maidenhead. It's the difference between midatble and play offs. simples.

I reckon before the season is out we will have JT or Whitehouse in goal. I agree with you that it will lead to problems if we have a keeper who doesnt train with us most of the time. If the embargo goes maybe we can sign someone from Havant who can travel up with him lol.

You never know we might get Charlie back if we sort off the pitch.

Regarding supposedly good news tuesday or wednesday, why on earth would we get rid of the best goalkeeper in the league under these circumstances. Do you think we are being had? How much did them three points cost us yesterday when we were expected to win?

Peanuts i do not think we are being had decisions regarding players being relaesed were no doubt being discussed in the event of a cup exit.
The statement regarding those released was sept 28.
Mr hobbins senior was most likely contacted by interested parties after this date.

Dogkilla I heard from sources yesterday that the Hobbins were going to accept administration. Whats the point in sending more money or fundraising?

'sources'?

You could have asked directly. Mr Hobbins, Mr Hobbins and Mr Brackstone seemed happy enough to respond to any enquiries.

Well Worcester and Tomato were wrong. Yes we could if everything went "tits" up but there was no talk of that yesterday I can assure you.

Peanuts posts in the same style as Wings63/Wings630 and is always undermining us.

Very doubtful that they support Welling. Ignore them. They just post critiscm or stir.

All 3 were very frank yesterday. Nobody mentioned administration to me, But it is an option if we get very close to the deadline which would see us survive as a club.

Lets all wait for a statement next week about investors though.

Graham the slight difference there is Charlie has been playing with them and they have an understanding i havent heard he hardly trained with the team. I have yet to see Charlie cover the outside of the left post rather than inside the goal. He also attempts to punch or catch at corners.

Adminsitration is always there as a last resort - and that is what I was told. The Club are doing everything to avoid it reaching that stage. I think your source must be your imagination

Hi Cynical,

the old boy was having a chat with him a couple of weeks back, he may have got it wrong.

I agree about the fact Charlie knew the players etc etc, just making a point. I feel people have really jumped on the back of the new keeper on here, let's give him more than a game?
