had one cleared off the line just before half time, follow up hit bar and the follow up to that was just wide.
That was from a corner that the lino didn't give, even though everyone else in the whole ground could see it. Luckily the ref overruled him. If only we'd scored from it, the Stortford would've been more angry that he already was! He's been making gestures to the Welling fans for no apparent reason. Classy man.

We've squandered two clear chances already this half. Hope we don't pay for that later.

I don't know what the say to the players at half time, but we always seem to be so much better in the second half the season.

Obersteller was sensational today. Take a bow son.

Loicks goal was a snorter only to be bettered 60 seconds later by their 11 from 35 yards. Great header from Clarkey and a solo goal by Luis. Ming offered Clarkey out all the time walking off the pitch, Clarkey stood his ground then as Ming went down the tunnel he turned halfway down the entrance and gave more to Clarkey and again offered it to him outside, what a stupid little man, he hasnt changed. Id make Clarkey about 1/5 to spark out Sanchez, one day someone will give Ming what he wants. Well done Clarkey for just laughing at him.

Stortford were a fair team for 30 mins but Players like Ming dont help them neither does the 4 having a hissy fit at the ref for 90 minutes. Their Manager was on the pitch at halftime giving the ref grief too. I suppose when your Manager does that then the 4 and 2 and Ming doing it , is to be expected.

Well played today Welling, Hit the bar twice and had a couple cleared off the line, could have been 5 or 6 easily.

Thanks to loick for giving me a reprise of his goal last week as i never saw it.

Fair play to our keeper too, he does look solid the first game at Weston was obviously down to them not knowing each other. He never even saw their goal but it was a superb strike.

Personally I thought Stewart should have saved it! only joking it was a great strike.

Bishops were very dogged and I thought it was going to be one of those days but we stuck at it and got our rewards. Sanchez Ming was there best player and he did us a favour getting sent off, what a terrible attidude he has!! There is no doubt he never made it higher because of this.

Obersteller was excellent and also I thought Andrews was an unsung hero today. Very good win and we would have been joint top without the points deduction! Well done wings!

I remember saying early on in his time at welling that Ming was trouble. He's a petulant little prat and obviously ain't changed a bit.

So busy texting the score to one of our fans who couldn't be there today I didn't even see their goal. Felt the ref could have made some better decisions. From where I sat thought it was a definate penalty on Loick but ref gives a goal kick. Am begining to wonder if refs have been told to give as little to Welling as they can.

A very professional performance against a reasonable team on good away form. lear penalty on Loick, and a few clear handballs but ref wasn't having any of it. Ref overturned a couple of the linos decisions which is nice to see - overall I thought the ref was better than alot we see at PVR.

I agree to previous comments, Andrews and Oberstellar were superb. Pugh works his socks off and contributes so much to the team even when he's not scoring goals. Pires contributed massively today, and looks to be a fantastic signing.

Well done all, let's hope we get through this financial mess and push on for promotion!

Great result for us today. Pires goal was top class, then, unfortunately followed by another one, from their number 11.  To be fair, our goalie had no chance.  We are still hoofing the ball up - why?  When we played the ball on the floor, we caused them all manner of problems.
It appears that all three officials today had their blinkers on.  We had numerous appeals for handball turned down and a clear cut penalty when Pires? was hacked down in their box in the second half.
Faz came on and opened the game up - he was so unlucky not to have scored with his first touch of the ball, but, to be fair, their keeper had a good game and saved the shot well.
Daisy on the pitch is a worry to me - his sometimes reckless and untimed tackles might see him red carded soon and his passing has gone astray in my opinion.
My joint men of the match were Jack Obersteller and Graham Andrews.  Both solid in defence and Jack was good going forward - hope to see more of that.
Overall, good team effort, but please keep the ball down and cause untold trouble to the oppo's.
Last off, good to see Charlie Mitten their today - keep training Charlie and the Mittens Munch takeaway stall is yours wink

Was great to see Charlie there watching today.

Good solid display all round. Good to see we arnt letting many goals in again and at the other end we allways look dangerous. Jack and Greame looked solid and Jack O was great going foward.

Well done lads.

Two weeks in a row!!

We have lots of contenders for goal of the season although Luis Cumbers last minute effort v Chelmsford will take some beating.

Its incredible

Pugh v Dover
Pugh v Lewes or B Wood
Day V Havant
Loick V Maidenhead
Loick V Stortford
Loick free kick at home v Woking
Healy V Dover

All exceptional goals and all could win a goal of the season theres probably a few i am missing too.

The goal of the season competition will be exceptional this season and i think we might get a few more candidates yet!!
