Good solid performance by all the team.
I have to say switching cumbers and pires around has worked really well.

Hi CJ

I was abroad, but all the same, dont see why the club didnt approach someone to do this seeing as it worked so well last time around. These sort of missed opportunities are why we lack money !!!

The bottle bar will be back for my next game ...

Dont think we will see two better goals at PVR this year than the Pires volley and their strike. I think we will be lucky to hang onto him as he is looking a class act. Our other two goals were pretty good as well, glad to see Clarkey getting back into old ways and Luis Cumbers getting onto a great weighted pass.

Things are going really well at the moment, I just ope we remain injury free and get the backing we require to move us onto the next stage.

Out of the 24 goals scored this season, only 4 have been scored in the first half!

Does anybody have any clues why this is so?

IMO possibly insufficient or inadequate warm up routines .... or could be a tactical decision to keep it as tight as possible while sussing out the opposition in the first half, but for me this would be a dangerous practice disbelief

na we're just 5hit in the first half biggrin

and we usually seem to play better when playing towards the road end and we usually start playing towards the park so I just put it down to that

J, i bow down to your superior judgement ....
but what about away games and at home when we don't win the toss and can't choose ends?

"na we're just 5hit in the first half biggrin"

.... could it be the supporters? maybe need to be better "oiled up" in the first half, because after half time in the bar seems maybe the supporters get the team geed up more to do the business .... think you may have put your finger on it.

so c'mon guys, one or two more bevvies before the kick off and the team will be flying from the start

smile wink biggrin

Statistics can be used in any way you choose.

I like the theory that we are sizing up the opposition in the first half before going at them more in the second half. I think I would rather be a good second half team than a good first half team. At the moment I don't really care one way or another as long as the three points keep rolling in.

If it ain't broke then don't fix it..........

I personally believe that the team have got it right in the way we approach the games. It must be remembered that we are not full time and to expect the team to produce 90 minutes of blistering pace football is expecting too much. When we attack the opposition in the way we do, not many teams at our level can live with us. I am happy to see us continue in the same way.

I'm not happy!

I feel that every time we have the ball we should shoot, weather it be Mr Parkinson in defence of Mr Clarke in midfield.

Get the ball and shoot!!
