Stella is my player of the year so far, hes been superb more often than not. Andrews has been good and is running him close but so are the rest of the players who would all be someones player of the year as they are all playing well. Picking a player of the year this season could have 6 or 7 of them in with a big chance and thats most unusual.

Just read the "Welling reaction" thread on the Basingstoke forum (can someone link it to here?) and "the ref cost us the game" tirade from Mr Gray.
Conveniently seems to have forgotten that
1. Left back blocks a goalscoring opportunity with his hand (with the keeper in no man's land) in the first ten minutes from Cumbers. No red card.......not even a yellow.....
2. We dominated the opening half and could have been two or three up at the interval.
3. Having conceded a penalty (and it was a penalty as I was about 10 yards away and not 100 like the one eyed Mr Gray) the keeper gets a yellow for bringing down the striker six yards from goal. What about a red card......
4. Adams the number 4 was booked and then given about 17 final warnings and still swore at the ref after the award of the penalty. What about a red card....
So by my reckoning they could have finished the game with 8 men and yet they are fuming at the referee......?!
I prefer pires up front. Jack best postion is centre half, but a capable midfielder. Cumbers is a quality player and will get better on the right of midfield. Clarke is a class act and getting fitter and more involved every game he plays. stewart looks to have understanding with defence after so few games BRILLIANT. pugh if he run marathons he would surely be winning them what a engine. MR DAY getting the job shocked a lot of us but what a asset. Letting charlie go stunned lots of us but MR DAY knows exactly what needs to be done.
