No chance, we may owe HMRC fifty seven grand we also owe a lot more to other people thats why no one will cover that debt and take us over. Its curtains im afraid .

We clearly have people with faith among the supporters.

Lets just hope whatever happens its an early judgement and not sitting here all day waiting for the official site to say

"Welling United were today wound up , the HMRC winding up petition was granted and the club were declared insolvent , The Hobbins Family would like to thank all supporters for their support over the years and would like to aplologise that it ended in this way"

Its august cut the budget to 3k a week get 2 big friendlies ... and youve paid off HMRC and have a few k off the other debt.

IT REALLY WASNT ROCKET SCIENCE and thats what i said do at the start.

we were .. "investors will come in , we will win the fa cup and trophy and we will be more transparant."

They might as well have added "We will win the Champions League and World Club Championships, and will put on a Rolling Stones concert at PVR" while they were at it.

As soon as the problems with HMRC became known, lots of people on these forums came up with many reasonable ideas on how to sort out the debt, but the club did nothing.

Wemay get a miracle stay of execution but if nothing changes immediately its only delaying the inevitable, The investors had to clear the debts and take over. For it to go down the final minutes is incredible and gives no confidence given absolutely no news except talks are ongoing.

tmb, the fact that some americans email and say send us your accounts we have 100,000 dollars for a sports business doesnt constitute an offer or takeover talks.

Its certainly not how i would launch a take over and 100k would just get you past today.
