Me

Im contacting Kate Bush, Bernie Ecclestone, Steve Finnan, Andy Townsend with a message asking if they can help save the club. Im not going into a long speil just we owe 109k and 57k needs to be paid within 14 days.

And that theres a hope of a supporter run/driven club ... Asking if they can donate or get a consortium going.

Also if they can when they are speaking to the press drop in that theyve been asked to help save Welling United.

We might get lucky.

If anyone has any ideas on the wording or wants to take the wording on then pm me. I have a contact at the BBC who will help me in getting their details to get the message to them and not some PA or Manager.

Im also emailing every league club and seeing if they would send their first team down in the next 2 weeks. Ok we may not want a friendly or get one on or we may be able to ponce the valley for a night...

but it could be an option.

I would actually go to a friendly match against a Blue Square Premier side, but obviously the big clubs are the ones we should be going after. Assuming we manage to survive the HMRC, i don't think that that should be the end of friendlies. Any time that Jamie wants a friendly because he wants to try out some triallists or players are coming back from injury and he wants them to get as close to full match fitness as possible, without risking them in a competitive game, the club could phone around (more than 3 or 4 clubs!!!) and put a game on at PVR. 92 pro first teams, 92 (or so) reserve sides, up to 92 under 18 teams, then loads of non league sides to choose from. Possibilities are endless. Officials at the club just need to make the effort. Maybe Paul Barron(?) at Newcastle could ask his club to send a team down. I'd go watch them if they played us. They could tie it in with a visit to London when they are playing someone like Arsenal, Chelsea or Fulham (whoever they haven't played yet), and whichever players in their squad that didn't get a game could play us plus those that only came on as subs. Better than nothing.

I think the weather and the clubs fixtures will stop that from being viable...
you could ask Charlton to advertise the Luton match... i would have suggested Millwall but because of the history maybe best not....
also ask for any donations to raffle off at the band night

Welling have played Millwall twice in the last couple of summers, and there were no problems at all!

One thing we need to do is find a way to get rid of E&B. Them being in OUR ground and contributing nothing to us is hurting us! I know they have signed something which means they can stay here for a very long time, but there must be a way to persuade them to **** off.

Why do you think they are paying or have not payed anything.

Do you think they just turned up and we let them play out of kindness,I dont think so.

Where do you think the money for the new stand came from and please dont say Welling.

Never mind what we are doing  now - what have we already done?  For my part bought an Exec lounge season ticket for two years (does that make me a preferred creditor?) put £100 into the appeal fund when called upon, have always supported the Wings bars, generally I always buy scratch cards and I pay £1 for each goal scored in Sponsor a goal and have done for a while. Sorry but I cannot, and will not, do any more.  I feel let down big time.  It is time for the club's owners to come up with a solution -  not the loyal  fans.  They have variable circumstances and cannot all help out further no matter how they would love to chip in.

As much as I love this club, my cashflow is not endless and I do not feel guilty for saying so.  If the club appoints a commercial manager, my attitude may change.  What has happened to the money raised earlier in the season?  Do we get an explanation as to where it is and how it has been used, if it has been used?

Should get that at the meeting Bertie. I will rope you in as chief negotiator if i get a reply from Bernie or Kate and co. Youve already done more than enough as have others.

Commercial Manager been there 4 months was going to post earlier, perhaps he will soon.
