If anyone is unsure of how to pay now.. its simple you can call your bank to make a transfer to the appeal account/solicitors over the phone, do a bankers draft or if you get the account details from the club you can transfer it almost instantly in most cases via online banking.
You can also pay cash over the counter in a bank into the account.
Call the club first on 0208 301 1196
The only payment terms not available due to the need for cleared funds for the HMRC are via cheque.

It's incredible how quick things have turned around :)
Yes, it's heading in the right direction - doesn't look like we're too far away, but we don't want to end up falling a few grand short. If anyone hasn't done their loan yet, do it asap!
and the hardwork doesnt stop come the 15th, we need to keep raising money any way we can to make sure we dont end up in this position again and can reply the loans.

I am sorry to disagree with you JgFc but this information is not correct. A cheque paid in at any Natwest branch tomorrow to the account of the solicitors using the account number and sort code quoted in the Letter from the Solicitors re Loans thread will be clear by next Monday (possibly even this Friday.) Way before the deadline.
I am only saying that the club are saying that cheques wouldnt clear in time John. If anyone wants to pay by cheque then they can call the club for clarification, it would seem that electronic transfers are a safer bet to hit the account in time.

The announcement says the Club are paying in a number of cheques tomorrow so obviously they are confident they will be cleared funds in time. Anyone paying in independently should, of course, email the solicitors to tell them what they have done.
Well done on Nick Owen thread. Can we please please please follow-up with a "please dont take 14 days to pay us our cut, please pay it asap" thanks.
I repeat my earlier posting regarding the rules for distribution of the net gate receipts from FA Trophy matches which state you should be entitled to an immediate payment on account. Be prepared for the expenses of the tie to be substantial, however. That is why I suggested a quarter or a third would be appropriate. Whether this payment would be cleared funds in time for the hearing is another matter.
FA Trophy Rule 22 (c) from the section on division of net match receipts says
"The net gate receipts shall be approximately divided immediately after the match. A full statement of account for the match shall be prepared by the Club playing at its home ground, on the prescribed Statement of Receipts and Payments Form, and payment shall be made in full to the Visiting Club and The Association within 14 days of the match."
Although slightly confusing I read this to say that a payment on account to the visiting team can/should be made immediately. Luton are charging £10 per adult, £7 and £5 concessions. If the gate is 2,000 this should produce £12,000 approx after VAT and I can see no reason why a quarter or a third could not be paid to you immediately. A higher gate would produce a proportionately higher share.
Do we know if that £44,000 is with or without the £4000 appeal fund money?
I would suggest that if we can/do raise the £59.000 without the appeal fund £4,000 & the WSU £2000- with everyone agreement I would suggest that WSU keeps the £2,000 for shop stock etc and the appeal fund money is handed to support the new consititioned supporters group to be used in ways that can support the club.
I personally think it would be prudent if the new group has a float to start.
It is worth noting for example - grant funding sometimes relies on club's /organisations contributing towards costs.
Obvously if we are short then we have to use it.

I understand about paying the money in - can do that easily - the solicitor's bank details details are on the main site. How will the solicitors know this is from me because presumabaly I send the paper work in seperately.

Did mine by BACS online quoted their reference and when it goes through my name appears with it. They would then marry it up with the signed forms.
I thought the club were screwed! All of a sudden money appears from nowhere and we've to date raised £44,000 with definitely more loans/donations to come. I'm now thinking that we will survive Wednesday next week. Not sure what will happen after that though.

I too think you will clear next week's hurdle and it will all be due to your loyal supporters who have raided their savings to keep the Club alive. To ensure that they have not wasted their money it is important that some financial discipline is introduced immediately. A cashflow estimate should be prepared initially to the end of January and then for the rest of the season, and you must operate at least at break even during this period. You have four home league games between now and the end of January. Three are against Kent clubs and should result in good attendances. The income from these and the proceeds of the Trophy match if not used next week will have to cover the Club's costs over this period. Ideally you should aim to operate at better than break even and if you can do this the extra money you receive must be used to pay off the other debts NOT to increase the playing budget. One of the new (voluntary) positions to be created is the Finance Officer and his/her effectiveness will be the key to your long term survival and prosperity.
