If thats not a licence to go out and play champagne football on sunday then i dont know what is. Win lose or draw should be a party and a great day out.

I think enjoy this weekend whatever the result at Luton then start thinking about all the issues to come (fundraising, supporters assoc., other debts etc).
Let's just be thankful we have those issues to worry about.
If there's a baby boom in Welling in 9 months time - We know why?
What the saying a week a long time in football ------- Brillant and Respect to fellow supporters we pulled together saved the club that we love.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big thank you also to Dan Chapman and his team. I suspect the chant "there's only one Dan Chapman" once or twice may echo around Luton.
I also agree with Gary lets savour our little bit of footballing history and enjoy the moment - tomorrow set up the new supporters group - Sunday enjoy the game - come back down to earth and let the supporters group the board WSU start working together to move the club foward and upwards on and off the pitch and support them as and when required.

This is just wonderful news! As a club we will only grow from this trust me.
I know we all have stories of how we became Welling United Fans and like many others this Football Club means the world to me, it goes beyond Football in terms of what this club has given me and how I was introudced to the club. Therfore I want to thank all those who dipped into their pockets to help this great football club survive.
Lets enjoy Sunday!!

Fantastic news - we owe a massive debt of gratitude to Dan Chapman and to the accountant who has been working behind the scenes. A fanbase of around 500 and we raise about £60k that's really incredible.
Fantastic news! I'll be honest when we were going down the fan loan route I really didn't think we'd do it. Thank you to everyone who's contributed in time or money.
Great also that the Hobbins have realised it's time for change aswell - perhaps a rendition of 'there's only 2 Barry hobbins'?!
well done to everyone, i am overjoyed and to be honest have a tear in the eye. I may live in Northern Ireland but the wings are my club and if i had a pound for everytime i have to repeat Welling United after someone has asked me what club i support i would be a millionaire, which would have come in handy lately. COYW and lets get stuck in Luton tomorrow, have a cracking time....i am so jealous.

Am i right in assuming that the club still doesn't have it's own pc? Might i suggest that a local business donates a pc to the club and gets their name on an advertising hoarding in return :)
There's more hard work to be done this is only the start ,we dont want to be in this position again.
Brilliant that we have pulled through so far and as cj so rightly said, we don't want to be in this position again. As the supporters have bailed the club out, what is the next step? I know and have read that the club want to get the supporters involved, but how much influence would they have? If the club is losing 50k per year and the local community does not give a monkeys about us, how can we succeed? I want us to progress - we now have the opportunity to go further, but a total restructure of the club is required. The supporters can only give so much afterall and yes, I have read the official statements from the club. If the club is losing money every season, then obviously, something is wrong. The borough needs our club and the local council could and should recognise the fact that it could earn kudos points if they supported us. To every supporter that has helped raise money for the club, I applaud you.
Great news. Thank you to everyone who contributed and saved the club, your actions speak louder than words. I can't be there tonight physically, but will be in spirit.
