How proud I felt at Luton Town today

As I watched our players receive the applause at the end of the game today, it was such a wonderful emotional moment for me, as they all deserved that response.

Knowing what a genuine, honest, bunch of lads we have in our team, although it was not a classic game, and Luton were very poor in their finishing at times, having said that, Gareth did so well on the occasions that Luton did hit the target, and our players gave everything they had against their full time opponents. Everyone could see the tired legs coming in the last 15 minutes, but they all battled on to earn a replay and they should all feel proud of themselves for such a gallant effort.

Thanks lads...........you made an old guy really happy.

Well said Eric, i thought we looked fit to be fair. And hung on well and had enough to have a few spells in their half in the second half.

Players gave their all today, 2 players playing through injuries, 1 making return after being out since september and 2 suspended.

Think that shows how much balls we showed. Yep they were weakened but so were we.

Such a proud day - I was so glad I was there to witness it!

But it's not over Wings fans! I remember about three years ago, Tonbridge Angels (Ryman Premier) held Oxford United (Conference Premier) to a goal-less draw at the Kassam Stadium - before winning the replay 1-0 at Longmead Stadium.

With more passionate support on Tuesday night, the Wings can wrap up a good few days by knocking out Luton Town!

Report and reaction now on the website. Thanks for a great day!

Regards
Stephen McCartney
