Uxbridge are probably the lowest ranked team left in the competition. They are near the foot of the Zamaretto (Southern) League Division 1 Central and have accounted for Maidenhead United and Ryman Premier Lowestoft Town in earlier rounds.

We must be pleased with Uxbridge at HOME. Let's hope we do the business Tuesday night and then manage to get a decent run in this FA Trophy.

Great draw if we can get past Luton tomorrow.

I believe we will win against Luton, especially now we can have our suspended players back in the starting line up. Also we quite clearly want to win the tie more than Luton!

With generally low crowds this is the best draw we got have got (assuming we get past Luton). The chance of further progress and the prize money are worth more than our share of the gate money even against a well supported National side.

If we do get to play against Uxbridge, then it will be on the same day we are due to play Thurrock away. Which fixture takes precedence? I like the sound of five home fixtures in January :)

According to the FA - the crowd at Luton was by far the largest of the round - so whilst we may have hoped for more - it could have been far worse - anyone remember Wealdstone? That was grim.

Eight of the twenty seven matches attracted crowds of more than 1000. Luton (1639), York (1322), Wimbledon (1201), Wrexham (1122), Grimsby (1116), Newport (1047), Cambridge United (1045) and Crawley (1033). It seems Blue Square Premier supporters are not very interested in the competition at this stage.

From what I was told yesterday the FAT will take precedence over the league. I understand its 15th January as the BS Premier clubs are not due to play league matches that day.

FA Cup and FA Trophy matches always take precedence over league matches. That's why Dartford v Staines tomorrow has given way to Dartford v Crawley. If Welling win tomorrow Thurrock v Welling will be rescheduled.

Can someone explain why it's 10 quid to get into Luton, but 11 quid to get into our much superior ground?

You've got a point there. Does seem a bit odd that we have to pay £11 to get in.

You're right. We get to feel the full force of nature (wind, rain etc.), we have got more kebab shops, nail bars and charity shops than they've got, and we probably can stretch to the extra quid to help our club!

Luton's normal adult admission price is £13 to £18. They dropped the prices for the Trophy match presumably to attract their fans. Whether they succeeded is debatable.

The good thing about tomorrows game is, it might be £12 (+ £1 for a seat).

But it WONT be £3 for a programme, with the ONLY thing you could get to eat was  a soggy pie and you could only sit in your seat in the cold at half time with no entertainment.

But at HOME you can go and have a warm in the bar at half time, get a burger or hotdog from the van at anytime and have a pint if you want one.

If all away clubs are as they were on Sunday at Luton, then I dont think I want to go to be made to feel  VERY unwelcome by other clubs.

Just put it down to a " LACK OF SPIRITS" Brandy n Coke and an empty tummy. Other than that I had a fantastic day, great game an with great company and a coach driver who got us lost using his sat nav and a balloon blowing contest.
I could not have planned something like that for a Sunday outing.

And don't forget £1.50 for a cup of tea. Save a pound on that at PVR and at least our tea tastes like tea.

Sorry Patsy but I rather liked the pie, in fact I went back for another one. Although the the tea was rather foul.

When i was kneehigh to a giraffe... i used to love pams cheese rolls and proper tomato soup.

Or the Jumbo sausages and chips in a tray.

The burgers and sausage baguettes are delicious and reasonably priced. Love 'em!
