Don't think that is the case JgFc. I'm almost certain that at Saturday's meeting Barrie said that Conference fules/regulations meant that the embargo wouldn't be lifted till the New Year.
Thought it was something do do with a conference quarterly meeting .

As far as I'm aware the embargo won't be lifted until we can prove that we have our finances in order. IE showing that we are able clear the outstanding debt, and not get ourselves into this situation in the near future.

That is what I recall Barry saying about the rules and regulations Squarevanman as expanded on by Kev.
Presumably we have satisfied HMRC by paying the debt which was the subject of the winding up petition but we still have to satisfy the Conference that we have the necessary plans in place to ensure that we will not get ourselves into the same position a couple of months down the line.
It makes business sense but fails to consider the position of the players who are, and have for some time been, under a great deal of pressure to play even though they may be carrying knocks just to ensure that we can put a side out. Surely there is room for a middle ground in this matter in the interim whereby, for example, we are given authority to register work experience placements from pro clubs to ease the pressure on the squad.

100% the right decision to segregate even though the crowd was poor. With some of the shouts and abuse our players received and IF some of our more passionate fans were in the new stand it could have got a bit naughty and heated.

The thing is though, if there were was a group of obviously Welling supporters in amongst the Luton fans, the Luton fans hurling all the abuse wouldn't have said anything. They felt brave because they knew Welling fans wouldn't be allowed anywhere near them. It empowered them.
I didnt say a word incase i had to do my chuck norris and take on 76 of them :P , i felt like giving some back but i kept completely silent so no aggro could happen.
