As the festive season is approaching and the Kent derbies come thick and fast (weather permitting) I thought it would be an idea to look at the league results thus far.
Tues 17 Aug Dover 2-2 Welling 1,097 Tues 24 Aug Fleet 0-2 Dover 1,139 Sat 28 Aug Bromley 2-1 Welling 940 Darts 1-1 Fleet 2,781 Sat 18 Sep Darts 2-2 Bromley 1,834 Sat 02 Oct Bromley 1-1 Fleet 1,010 Tue 09 Nov Dover 0-2 Darts 1,199 Fleet 4-0 Welling 942
Pretty tight in that Bromley, Ebbsfleet and Dartford have taken 5 points so far, Dover 4 and Welling 1.
Considering that Welling have dropped 8 points from these fixtures, their league form against other teams is pretty scary. Won 10, Drawn and lost 2.
Can we improve on this over the next few weeks?

Glass half full for Dartford fans it seems, let them do ok in the kent mini league, we will just concentrate on the proper league. Straws at clutching.

Or the fact that we havent played at home yet against any of them. We never turned up v gravesend or bromley.
Just 2 of our 4 losses were away games where we didnt play well.
You can make statistics say what you like. Whats the prize for the top kent club in the league? and if they still finish behind one of the other kent teams in the league... will their fans be claiming best team in kent?

The weather people at the BBC should be sacked. There's heavy snow falling and an inch of snow in my back garden, yet on the BBC weather site they are claiming that there are sunny intervals and no chance of snow for the next 24 hours! They should try looking out of the window :) Unless the weather gets drastically worse, i believe the Borheam Wood fixture tomorrow will go ahead.
