Really is not looking good, only one day with temps likely to be over +3, two nights below freezing and snow forecast on Tuesday.
Lewes could be the next game, the only saving grace for us is that if the games have to get scheduled we can expect Bromley and Darts fans to turn up as we are so local.
I must say this all sounds a bit pessimistic. I've just been looking at the 10 day forecast site for Welling and this predicts temperatures rising tonight with 4 degrees tomorrow dropping to 3 overnight with no frost and then rising to 7 by kick-off time on Tuesday. It makes no mention of any further snow. If this is correct surely the prospects for the game must be reasonably good.
I'm surprised that the decision has been taken to postpone the sponsorship draw until the Staines game on January 8. If the Bromley and Dartford games go ahead but the Staines game is then postponed there may be a few disgruntled participants.
With the number of games being called off and the likelihood of snow over the next few months do you think the league season will be extended as the problems are across the board with the exception of the Premier league?
Seems like mass over-reaction to me. It hasnt snowed for over 6 days now. If games are going to get called off just because the ground is a little hard then you would never get anywhere ... they manage in Russia.
Rosenborg vs Bayer Leverkusen the other week. Admittedly the pitch was covered by a hot air balloon before the match but you cant play with undersoil heating on and it was -15C throughout the game. Can't tell me that wasn't rock hard by the end!
I agree that it maybe good for us if we say only play two of these games...of course the home ones....If there is snow on the pitch then they should leave it there and clear it later ...keeps it a bit warmer I think
Lets hope we can get one of them on at least but the temperature is looking to rise significantly in next few days

Heavy frost overnight. Games have always been called off for frozen pitches. Still loads of snow around too as hasn't been warm enough for a proper thaw. As for Russia they have a winter break don't they which is what we have at the moment!
It is interesting that on Ebbsfleet's official site there is an appeal for volunteers to attend the ground tomorrow to put rock salt on the terracing to clear the ice "to help to ensure that Tuesday's game against Dartford goes ahead".
Welling have not made a similar request to fans. Does this mean that the terracing at PVR is ice free or have the club already concluded that the Bromley game is unlikely to take place?
