Thanks James. Not surprised. Just walked the dog through the woods and it was still like very icy. If weather continues like it is now we should be okay for Dartford
I havent been to the ground, but there is a patch of grass outside my house that has suffered the weather over the last two weeks and not had a groundsman working on it - and guess what, its fine.
So that's a big attendance for a match gone then. Hope the New Years Day match goes ahead! No heavy rain or snow forecast for the coming week.
I think we wont get far off what we would have got, not sure bromley take that many away and if played midweek should see most of those travel as its down the road. The Dartford game should be a fair gate with people all wanting to see a game. What odds the snow returns?

People are clearly frustrated, but I think the club did all they could to get the game on - why wouldn't they want it to take place. I live 10 minutes from the ground and half my garden still has snow covering, and still patches of ice on paths - clear to see why it would be called off, frustrating all the same.

The small band who worked so hard yesterday deserve a lot of thanks even though their efforts went unrewarded.
I see Bromley have arranged a game against Maidenhead for Thursday to help with their cash flow and ease congestion. I wonder if we tried to arrange a game?

Three games in five days would be tough on a depleted squad. I see Farnborough have signed a couple of players so their embargo must have been lifted. It is obviously possible to take a short cut with the Conference and bypass their monthly meeting if everything is in order.

And that will have had nothing whatsoever with them trying to avoid playing Dover with two suspended players...
