............ and Welling United are doing what to put money in their coffers? Let's face it, who would want to spend a few quid in the old place?

This is the first I've heard of this (9.03pm on new years eve). As with me, it's probably too late for people to cancel their prior arrangements.
Lack of communication/advertising rears its ugly head yet again!

My wifes Nan goes to their Jazz doo's on a Sunday now & again, god bless her the old girl is 90 this year. So not a full on party night was happening I expect really unless you are into ''pull a great granny nite''.
So yeah, best off giving it wide berth as you say mate, I know I its not my scene...

What do we care? Its for E&B, the way I read it & we don't get a penny from it do we? Or if we do I stand corrected.
Exactly what I was thinking. It was the last place I would have wanted to go.
yeah, if theres no money for Welling, fair enough.
The point is, they are doing something and we are not. Its the busiest night of the year for anyone running a bar, yet ours is closed. Massive own goal.

New Year's Eve parties there in the past have been poorly attended. Until things start to change (which will hopefully start now) there was never going to be a massive turnout this time around.
