the attached is a post from the Conference South Forum from someone who attended the Dartford game.

Bruv, I have no argument with you or even if you think i am gay - although it's not a particularly grown up response to a paying customer. I kinda understand what you are saying but i'm afraid that if Welling United is actually to survive then you simply have to be wrong. This is 2011. Families have options.

I have visited lots of shabby grounds and find no complaint with them because they are loved and respected by the (usually volunteer) people who run them. They love the game and try to make their grounds as welcoming as possible in circumstances every bit as challenging as Welling. That was absent yesterday. The club gave a big 'up yours' to every visitor (home as well as away incidentally) and treated them like mugs. You can do that.... once.

It's not about whether it's gay or not to dislike dirty toilets. It's about the management mentality that doesn't give a toss whether they are dirty or not.

It is, if i may say so, the same mindset that doesn't care whether bills are paid and whether the club competes fairly and honestly under the same financial restraints as the clubs around them.

I can Imagine the board meetings -

Item 1- shall we clean things up a bit ... nah, that's gay.
Item 2 - Finances .... nah, paying bills is for other people.
Item 3 - Stewarding and safety .... nothing to do with us, we subcontract.

Like I say, I have no complaint with any Welling fans. If calling me gay makes you feel better then go ahead, but I would be more worried that I can now be called 'another one not coming back and telling possibly dozens of his friends and workmates not to bother either.'

anyway, best wishes for the rest of the season.

I truely applaud the efforts being made by people and have been a  wings fan for many years. People are doing there best to move things on on a tight budget when clearly a little bit of forward planning yesterday could have made heaps of difference.

So having read posts on here and contemplated things the conclusion I have come to I am sad to say is that I dont see us moving out of our current  situation until we see a change at the top. I'm afraid in my opinion its time for Messrs Hobbins to step aside.

Thats not meant to be a criticism of them , they have done there best over the years. I just dont feel that they are the people to help the club in the new regime and now is the time for things to change rather than being supressed.
