this is unconfirmed information but due to another reschedual to our (Eastleigh's) hampshire senior cup game against havant I think this game will be off, havant has had 4 chances to host this game but its been called off again! so this match will be played at home on 17/1/10. Eastleigh pay there reserves in this match but the hampshire FA consider the match as a 1st team match. http://www.eastleigh-fc.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4344 again unconfirmed so if we manage to rearrange the havant game, we could play on tuesday
These senior cups should be pre season comps and you should be able to play your kids. Simple way to sort this play the finals at league grounds and MAKE league clubs send a team even if kids. No one cares about the Senior Cups.

Last season, we played something like a league game on a Tuesday, a Kent Senior Cup game with fringe players on the Thursday, and another league game on the Saturday. Can't you do similarly if you are only going to play reserves or is it Havant who aren't playing ball?
There's been no word yet on whether the Kent FA will insist on our postponed KSC match with Whitstable being played that night. Whitstable are also due to be playing a league match that night against Whitehawk. It is crazy that these county cup matches can create havoc with the league fixtures particularly when there is a backlog of games as is the case this season.
I agree with JgFc they should be played pre-season.
If whitstables pitch is still bad play it at PVR next Tuesday if Eastleigh are unable to play their fixture with us.
Should we not be able to ask for a payment from their FA (Eastleighs) to compensate our gate? Its a complete farce that we should be disadvantaged in any way at all because of a micky mouse cup match eastleigh cant get played. AND SHOULD a KSC impact another club who are due to host us then the kent FA should compensate them too. Or should have dispensation to play a weakened team.
Clubs are struggling to get by and are now having FA's force them to cancel matches?

Last season Margate put 3 teams out in 1 night. The main 1st team played in their league game. A second team mainly fringe and youth if my memory serves me played at welling in the Kent SC and finally a youth team was due to play at Margate in a youth match. Maybe all clubs should show their disaproval to county associations and do something similar. Or do some clubs take these cups seriously?
It seems the game is still on, as on Eastleigh fixture list it is now showing them as playing Havant at home the day before in the Hampshire cup. No doubt the youths will get a game.

yeh thats right but the hampshire fa wont let the "1st team" play twice in 2 days! even if the 1st team is represented by the youth! we was looking forward to this game and we annoyed the hampshire fa!
I had a very nice conversation with Barry today. It seems some County F.A's are more than happy to assist clubs when these situations arise whereas some of them class the games as the be all and end all of everything. Anyway I was told that the game on Tuesday will not get called off due to a county cup competition. Of course other reasons such as FAT results or 6 foot of snow could result in a postponement.
