Stone Crossing then Bus to Lakeside or into london and chafford hundred? The Bus from stone crossing is 50 yards from the station. So Sidcup-Stone Crossing, Bus and walk or a bus from lakeside

What is the best way do we think?

Try to avoid Fenchurch Street to Chafford Hundred route as this is not running due to engineering work. The District line is also suspended which is strange as West Ham are playing Arsenal tomorrow. According to the website you have to get a train from Liverpool Street to Barking then the tube is running from Barking to Upminster then you can pick up c2c to Chafford Hundred. So i think i will have to take the car.

From Transport For London Journey Planner: -

From Welling, train to Dartford 11 minutes
From Dartford, train to Stone Crossing 4 minutes
From Stone Crossing, take the X80 bus to Arena Essex 11 minutes
From Arena Essex, take the 372 bus to Ship Lane/Caravan Site 2 minutes
From Ship Lane, walk to ground 6 minutes

Seems a lot of mucking about when you can drive in 10 - 15 minutes.

Is it any wonder that attendances are so low at Thurrock when it is so difficult to get to the ground?!
