I was in ASDA last week and they didn't have any offers on at all. I'll have to pop down there tomorrow.
Lidl are doing a Shepherd Neame special called Burns Ale. I picked up a few cases and tried one at lunchtime. It's very very nice. 4.0, dark and malty and 99P. I broke one in the boot of the car so it smells like a brewery in there at the moment. Lovely. They're doing haggis for 99P too if you're fond of the traditional Burns Night feast.
I picked up the last 5 bottles of Courage Best while I was there too at 99p a bottle.
There were some Masterbrews but I couldn' see the price.
No Ruddles in The Wrong Un today so tried the Finch****s Original from the Westerham Brewery. Very nice, fruity and only 3.5 so a good session beer.
They're doing a whiskey for Burns Night called Talisker. I can't remember the last time I tasted anything as bad as that. Stick to the Bells.
Just checked up on ASDA's website and they're doing Spitfire, Pedigree, Ruddles County, Badger Tanglefoot, Badger Original and Whitechapel Porter for £1.00 each.
