Evenly matched first half. There were a few minutes where Dover looked like they were overrunning our midfield, but we came back into it and looked on top towards the end. Both teams have had good chances, so it's surprising there were no goals. Cumbers had one cleared off the line and our keeper has made a couple of solid saves. Referee hasn't been too bad. A couple of wrong decisions, probably should've got his yellow card out by now, but compared to other referees we've had recently, he's fine!

Also, good to know that our young fans are learning the banter at an early age. There was a young lad sitting behind me, only about 6 or 7 years old, shouting: "Come on Welling, win it for England!"
Dover's goal came after a period of sustained Welling pressure. Obersteller had a run upfield, lost the ball and left a massive gap at the back that Dover's forwards exploited to the full.
gutted they have 1 shot in 2nd half and score.better team lost. Well played boys take it on the chin.
Very true statement. We were over them like a rash for periods in the second half and from where I was sitting in the old stand, it was a definite hand ball by one of their players just before they scored. When we played the ball on the floor, they had no chance. Why oh why do we keep hoofing the ball long? We had our chances, but just failed to take them. Stella and Pugh should have buried their first half left footed shots on goal and that would have been the end of it. Alas it wasn't to be. The linos were good today, shame about the ref - Stevie Wonder could have done a better job. All the boys played their part today, especially Andy Pugh. His control and footwork is brilliant. A mention too for Faz and Parkinson - solid game. A minor upset today, but we will bounce back and rightly so. COYW
after the game the ref said sorry for not giving "a stoner" at ebsfleet . He said he saw the video the next day and said no arguments its a stoner. From his angle he thought the defender cleared the ball. He was going to phone jamie but said he thought that there was no point as it cant be changed. Thought today he allowed too many cynical stop foul by dover without protecting us but didnt make any big decision wrong.

Bit difficult to take on the chin when for long periods we were the better team two losses on the bouce leaves us outside the playoffs but its still early days and I think we need just to sustain and keep doing the things that have proved us right so far.
Dover are a good side. and today was always going to be tight. They will be up there at the end of the season. Disappointed with the crowd attendance, thought there may have been a few more
Dover didnt bring that many, but their results have been iffy lately.
Comes down to hitting the community, something i think the WUSA will address and Hopefully next season we can start to see bigger crowds through marketing and some initiatives.

Taken the chances we had then we would of got something .... number 7 and burchill run the Dover team.
Sitting in the stands you get a much different view of the game and can really focus on players got to be said Jack Parkinson is unreal - with the clubs current situation i am afraid he may be moving on!
